Show us your hair do's....
I styled a 1940s comb look yesterday using my natural curl instead of pin curling or using a curling iron, so the curls aren’t as soft but I think it was successful. -

The directions were wonderful and I did a muslin first. I draw and paint to me the muslin on an intimidating pattern is like a sketch for painting or drawing. You know work out the issues before anything is permanent- Grant Fan

I did a wet set for the first time in ages last weekend and while it wasn’t perfect ( I am out of practice) but it’s hot and setting my hair with heat sounds awful. It held up really well for s couple of days and then I went to the gym and it was over. -

Sharing Coconut Oil Experiences for the ladies....
I use coconut oil combined with a raw egg and some mayo on my hair then let it sit wrapped in plastic wrap for at least and hour and shampoo and condition. I do this about every very 2 weeks, but sometimes weekly depending on how hard I am in my hair. -
What's the best modern electric tool you use for your vintage hair styles.
I use the clamp style curling irons with porcelain in them. I am partial to Conair. I use a 1/2 inch for the bottom most layers and a 3/4 for everything else. Thinking about a tattoo, but is it what good girls did in the 1940's?
I have 3. Two of them are about 9x5 inches maybe a bit larger one on each thigh, and one about 3x5 on my ribs. You can only see them in swimsuits, or when I have shorts on.- Grant Fan
