Pics were taken with my point and shoot. The Cheyenne is great and keeps getting better. Hasn't changed much since the last photos I posted (near the end of that thread) but I'll try to add a few new ones sometime soon. I'd love to see more photos of jackets/coats with a few years wear.
This thread describing my vintage brown Cheyenne has some of my impressions and a few photos. It's been a while but as I recall there wasn't a huge difference in the weight but the vintage was way more broken in. Perhaps someone with more definitive knowledge can chime in but from what I...
If you're interested in another perspective, you can check the thread on my vintage brown FQHH Cheyenne. Due to an error in the construction, I had the opportunity to see the coat in standard brown FQHH (my original order) and in vintage brown FQHH (my replacement order). As usual, HD's...
Nice thread. This is a little off topic but it's something I've been thinking about posting here. What are recommendations for quality N-3Bs (besides vintage mil issued)? I bought a Spiewak for a deep discount but the pockets blew out in a season of light wear. Is Alpha any better? Does any...
Welcome, Mike. The one things I would suggest is to provide a full set of tailors measurements to Aero as well as all particulars about how you would like the jacket to fit. Then, take their advice. They know what they're doing. That's the approach I took for my Cheyenne and it was spot on...
Cheyenne in vintage brown FQHH going on two years...
For anyone who is interested in how this coat and Aero's vintage brown FQHH leather ages, here are a few new pictures of my coat after two seasons of wear (owned for a total 1year 9months).
Jerky horsehide?
Note that some of the leather...
Windward, this thread has pictures of by vintage brown FQHH Cheyenne. The pics at the beginning are of the coat when new but if you go to the end of the thread there are several after I owned it for 6 months and I'm about to add a few more from almost two years.
I don't have a solution but I have the same opinion. In a perfect world, I'd like a plain back Aero Cafe Racer with a Schott / LW type collar. It may be worth discussing it with Aero. They may be able to do a custom job. Please post the result if you go that route.
My wife is a theater costume designer and needs a mid 50's style brown leather coat. Preferable something with a little "western" detail, i.e. a western yoke. The show just began previews and the coat she found at a vintage store has ripped b/c the leather was so old. She asked me if I could...
It would be really great to hear Nick Horween weigh in on this subject. He's visited the forum before. I just posted a request for him to weigh in on this subject at his blog.
Based on my reading, I think most of the current cache of HH is based on it's rarity, not on any substantial...
+1. I had a couple of minor issues with my Cheyenne. Amanda graciously and patiently worked with me to get everything solved. In the end I have a kicka$$ coat that I love! Great people. Great company. :eusa_clap
