There's basically no difference. There may be a slight difference in length or fullness but it's not much. I think the main difference between the two coats are the pockets.
Seriously. 82 views and no one responds? Doesn't anyone find all these trenchcoat stickies a little distracting. I know it's not a big deal but its also a quick and simple fix. I use a laptop. Every time I load this site, the only posts I see in the forum are the Trenchcoat stickies. I...
Thought I share a few pics of the credit card holder/wallet I just picked up at Etsy. It was made by Paul Cunningham and sold at his Etsy store - LemonBall's. It's a simple little wallet made of a folded piece of brown Horween Chromexcel leather and sewn with red thread in a classic baseball...
I'd like to suggest that the five TRENCH COAT REFERENCE sticky threads in the OUTERWEAR section be consolidated into a single sticky. Any other possible sticky consolidations would also be very welcome. I find it cumbersome that I always have to scroll down to see new threads. Opinions...
Great looking jacket. I'm a big fan of the zip sleeves. Could you go over the modifications you made (or if you done so already, link to the thread)? The one obvious change is the angled seam on the front chest.
Aero Cheyenne in vintage brown FQHH
Here's my Cheyenne in vintage brown FQHH. First two pics are out the box. Third and fourth pic are after 6 months wear. All the details, including modifications, coat measurements and my measurements can be found at this thread.
Beautiful leather and a good looking jacket. Too bad it doesn't fit. Sorry that it happened. Unfortunately, Aero can only be asked to make a garment to the measurements provided. It seems that the source of the error here was measurements from a very dissimilar jacket rather than body...
If you're still interested in "long" coats, a LHB and one of the modern car coat styles (Cheyenne / VdR / Stockman) might be a good combination. Both are great looking but have significantly different styling.
What happen to the Cheyenne? Most of the members here tend towards the motorcycle and military styles but I think the Aero car coat styles (Cheyenne, Stockman, VdR) are great. I'm a Cheyenne owner (vintage brown FQHH) and love it. I'd also second the suggestion to buy them one at a time...
The hide is a little softer than when I bought it but isn't "really" soft. The pocket flaps are completely stiff. I don't bend them often so I doubt they'll ever get very soft.
I don't have any wear around the button hole or around the button backs BUT I almost never button the coat...
A few pics of my coat after 6 months
Here are a few pictures of my Cheyenne (Vintage Brown FQHH) after 6 months. I wear it every chance I get. The temps have started to dip into the teens here in Boston and I still can't resist grabbing it out of the coat closet in the morning rather than my...
Beautiful coat. I have to admit I wasn't in love with Jansolo's when he first posted pics. However, after seeing the pics of it broken in I was sold. Very nice. Leather looks great and the wool and sateen lining just add to the great look. Top notch.
Just to be clear, the storm cuff is the fabric cuff inside the leather (and attached to the lining)...as seen in this pic. Not the external leather "cuff" at the end of the sleeve.
