Matt, The enlisted Class A uniform jacket did not have a belt. Also, the wool used for the construction of the enlisted Class A uniforms was quite different than that used for officers. It was made of a more course type wool, as the officer's uniform was made from what was called elastique...
I know exactly what your speaking of, J.B. I've noticed the voice inflections and speech patterns especially in vintage radio announcers voices of the 20's, 30's and 40's. It seems, just like everything else these days, that the more formal speech has gone by the wayside. Pushed aside by what I...
I took a gander and completed the survey also. I think it would be great if you offered men's vintage clothing as well. Not sure about the UK, but, here in the Colonies, men's vintage stores are kind of few and far between. If and when I get back to the UK, I would definitely look up you're...
I ordered a jacket from them about three years ago. I was told to expect delivery anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. After about 2 1/2 months, I emailed Mark and asked if there was delay. He promptly sent me a reply after he checked on it and there had, in fact, been a delay in the order. He said...
Used to go to the "service station" and you normally would never have to get out of your car. The owner would come over and typically speak to my Dad since they had known each other for years. He (the owner, no less) would "filler up" and while the tank was filling, he would check under the hood...
Bringing Up Baby from 1938 with Cary Grant & Katherine Hepburn. One of the all time great screwball comedies.

For a good, easy read along the same lines of this topic, pick up the book London Calling by Edward Bloor. Here's a link to the book on Amazon.com:

Primarily white about 80% to 90% of the time. Although I do have several solid colored as well as striped shirts. Those I generally wear without a jacket, though.
While I'm not really a "Country" or "Country/Western" fan, I do enjoy me some good bluegrass music. I played guitar and sang in a bluegrass band for about six years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good harmonies, good friendships and good times. ;)
I came extremely close to bidding on the tan suit, even though it wasn't in my size. And, I agree, if the size had been a few inches smaller all the way around, I think the price would have dropped considerably. I'm a pretty small statured guy and I would have bid in a heartbeat had that been...
I own one of each of these and all are dead ringers for WW II Military khaki shirts. Both are heavy and very durable. I would highly recommend either one. If it weren't for the tags in the shirts, you wouldn't know the difference.
