BTW: Only two out of five on that lottery pick. Grrrrr!

No Luck? Bad Luck? Rat's Luck!

Yeah, she's going in tomorrow at 2pm. I'm pretty much thinking it's the coil, but I'm still reeling a bit from the fumes. I just have no way to go back to the VA unless I call the EMTs. I guess I'll give it another day?

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Perfect shape and shade. This would easily be a daily driver for me.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

It's a crime for one man to have that many awesome hats. You should be ashamed...

No Luck? Bad Luck? Rat's Luck!

Hi Folks! You're old buddy Rats here. So I've been trying to save up to get the oil leak on my car fixed. I was planning to bring her in next week after I got paid on the 1st. Sounds like a good plan. Right? However, three days ago I started my car up so I could drive my kids to school when...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Looking forward to it. I just have to wait for my local library (Who would have known that libraries have good movies available?) to have it returned and delivered.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

My Grampa and I used to watch these fellas when I was a kid. He actually got to see Bob Hope during WWII.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

For the first time I watched Murder My Sweet (1945) with Dick Powell and Claire Trevor. When I used to think of Philip Marlow, I usually thought of Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep (1946), or Powers Booth in the HBO Marlow series from when I was a kid, but Dick Powell is pretty sharp.

    Classic department store?

Well, LizziMaine pretty much stole my thunder bringing up Woolworth (Loved their revolving lunch counter BTW), and Ben Franklin. But another that I remember is the Gimbels Department Store. It was pretty much a middle-class option like Sears. An interesting fact is that the idea of a...

OTHER THAN eBAY Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

That's too bad. Personally speaking, that blue could have easily been a daily driver.

    Perry Mason-HBO

Wow! I just watched the first episode and couldn't believe the first three minutes. I also have no problem with the costuming and set design. It actually kind of reminds me of the grittiness in China Town and LA. Confidential. I also like that PM isn't a squeaky clean lawyer. It's a win in my book.

You know you are getting old when:

Well, unless I go the "treatment" route. What is that company, "Bosley" or something? But I'm wondering if that stuff might actually mess with or stain the inside of my lids. If so, I'll just stick with different hats. My daughter actually said the other day that I change hats like performers...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I'm surprised to say that I've never seen this. The only Glen Ford movie that I can think of is the tv western movie "The Sackets" with Tom Selleck and Sam Elliot. But this looks sharp!

You know you are getting old when:

How about HAIR LOSS! AAAAAGH! I remember when could pomp or slick my hair with no problem. And though I can still slick the sides and have my nice subtle sideburns, I'm starting to lose a little off of my top... Man! I used to be able to give Chris Isaac a run for his money! I don't know if it's...
