Would you get mad at me if I told you I sold a 1941 Martin D28 for $1000 back in 1983 when my granduncle died and left it to me? I was 19 and that was a lot of money back then! :D
I understand they were just south of $100,000K at the peak before the economy tanked.
Could be worse, It...
A bit off topic, not so much entertainment but still Radio...
Having gotten into amateur radio over the past couple of years as a result of my great uncle's passing on I've come to truly understand that the best era of this hobby was (like with most thing) the Golden Era..
I thought I'd...
I came across these while surfing the internet for a fine pair of shoes... can't seem to find anywhere in the entire US to buy them however... Was hoping to get some thoughts on them? Are there any US distributors? How are they, worth the $800?
I especially love the heavy sole and metal...
Too cool... My son is quite interested in the field. Is it hard to find work after one gets his requisite PhD?
btw.. I live right near you, we're at 67th Ave/Jomax, just east of Peoria.
Yeah the collar tabs threw me off.. and I couldn't see the GD on the shoulder boards.. I read Guy Sajer's accounts of his fighting in that division.. I think they saw action at Kursk along side the SS Liebstandarte.. what a battle!

Anyone hear of HECHO A MANO Vista Real "Republica Dominicana" Connecticut Wrapper "Premium" Cigars? Are they really man made?
A friend of mine flew down there recently and brought back a box of 25 Rubsto's, it's black and bears the Dominican Government seal.. I've not tried one yet, but would...
thanks Bob, I had been told about 30 weaves/inch or more, so I suppose it's ok. .. when finances line up for it, I'll try one from you.. in due time.
Sam
Sure Bob, I was actually hoping someone would do that.. My eyes are going crazy trying to do it. I took a photo in two different parts.. in case one turns out better here. Would love your professional assessment.

I quit cigarettes a while back, and at that time didn't smoke Cigars. I'm able to smoke a Cigar as little or as often as I like, and same goes for the pipe.. no addiction what so ever.
Nolan, Welcome aboard... this is a great place indeed.
I got it form Brent Black (www.brentblack.com) who is among a few really good and reputable hat sellers. There are two or three on this forum as well including Panama Bob, but I have no experience with him; others however do and like his...
GWD, this was my attempt at a Jeans and t-shirt Fedora... I'm still tweaking it however, and thinking of reducing the brim size. It started its life as a Stetson 100X cowboy hat, would you believe?
