Buying a hat in Italy
Wonder if anyone's traveled to Italy or even know any Italian transplants. I am 2nd-gen older Italian and am considering makin the trip abroad and would love to know the status of the hat there. Here in the states, from what I can tell, theres much focus on either ballcaps or the occasional straw. -

So .... to jump in here with a related topic, I wear a 61 / 7 5/8 hat perfectly. Out of the box, most 61s or 7 5/8s fit me just right. (I've always been in bewteen a "XL" & "XXL" but that's a different conversation, mostly being up to the hatmaker.) My related question: I've always bought 61 / 7... -

Thanks for those pictures fellas. Not making it easier. That Open Road silverbelly does look very light, like it could probably go with most darks - but that tan tint is there. Can you wear those better in the heat than say a caribou color? I've got a pewter C crown so I don't want to double on... -

Light silver tint would be perfect - tan not so much so. Wish I had a hatter near to check these colors out. -

These are helpful comments, thanks. I get that caribou is mid grey, I guess I don't understand silver belly on the spectrum--light grey? Or is it more light tan? I generally wear greys and blues and blacks...sometimes a brown / dark tan coat/shoes. -
