Is there a good history - book - about the hat industry?
If there isn't, it would be a good, and rather lengthy I imagine, project to write a really good history of the hat industry.
The hat industry reminds me a whole lot of the agricultural machinery industry, companies coming together...
Here is the hat. There was nothing under the band except for the name and address of the gentleman who had it previously. The Byron brand, according to the liner dates from 1929.

I have a 1987 Jaguar XJ6. As long as you do the mechanic work yourself it's not that bad.
If anyone comes across a real Knox Jaguar in dark grey or black, 7-1/4, I'm interested.
There is a "Knox Dobbs" "Jaguar" on eBay right now for $900+.
To the best of my knowledge Knox and Dobbs did not jointly issue the Jaguar.
Am I wrong?
Thanks for any information.
I am looking for a Knox Jaguar (that exact brand and exact hat) size 7-1/4 in dark or light charcoal, must have original band and the Jaguar badge/pin in excellent condition. I prefer the box to go with it. Anyone have one for sale? Thanks for any leads.
I've not seen one yet, but I will keep on looking. In the mean time I will plan to buy a couply of the advertising posters for the Knox Jaguars. Is it worthwhile or acceptable to post a "WTB" (would like to buy) on this group and where would be the best place to post?
Also, I do not see a "new...
I would like to get a Knox Jaguar, dark grey or blue grey, 7-1/8" to 7-1/4" (depending on how true to size they run), must have the Jaguar badge. Where do I need to look? Thanks for any information or pointers. Neal Lewis
