Hmmm........ the lack of factory packaging is simply not right. Someone is pulling a fast one here it appears. I've read a few times over the years of people peddling 2nd's on Amazon as new, regular goods.
WTF? Do they monitor your driving habits too? No offense, but I'd have a hard time with such policies, but then I've been self employed since the mid 80's.
Thanks, Sarge. :)
Love your blog. I especially appreciate the fact that you like Russell's. Great boot at an even better price! Going to order a new pair in the spring. ;)
Heh, well, living where I do, in central Mizzou, BBQ'ing, grilling, or smoking is a way of life! :)
For most outdoor cooking, I use a komodo cooker from Bayou Classics. We've had this thing for over 10 years now and it was the first ceramic egg available here in Jefferson City. Its equally good...
My wife and I recently took a road trip to Washington, MO. In the old downtown district is the Dutch Hotel. The building is in great shape as is the old neon sign. The ground floor is a pub/restaurant, not sure about the rest of the building.
Nice, the black one looks good.
As to the difference in hides; thickness matters obviously, but I believe horsehide is a bit stiffer than cowhide and lambskin a bit softer. Hopefully someone in the know will happen along and give us the real scoop. :D
Not so much your favorite pipes to own, but your favorite pipes to smoke on a regular basis.
I own about 20 or so decent briars, but most often I smoke cobs. The little Peterson bent is for Escudo. The Butz Choquin is for Frog Morton. The Cobbit-Elf is for flake and the other cobs I smoke...
I smoke a pipe during the day, but some evenings after dinner I do enjoy a good cigar with a glass of whiskey. Few things better than the combination of a quality bourbon and a stogie from The Forbidden Isle. :D
As to bourbon; I love Weller-12 and Elmer T. Lee.
