Cinch makes some nice jeans, well-made and good material. Their slim-cut model is terrific.
Schaefer Ranchwear makes some excellent jeans, authentic cowboy stuff, very well-made, with rivets on the back pockets.
Also, Diamond Gusset is a favorite, esp. their new button fly model.

I have three different DG jeans and they are my favorite jeans. They are made in America, materials and workmanship are first-rate, they're priced very reasonably and, most important, they provide the most comfortable fit of any jeans I've worn, and I've worn many. They are a relatively...
Amanda is ok, but you really should be speaking with the gentleman who is in the workroom. I forget his name, but he has more hands-on experience and worked with me on sizing, and the results are great.
My post may be too late, however, if you're really nervous about taking your own measurements, as I was, you might want to speak directly with Aero. I spoke initially with Mark, but Mark didn't inspire confidence and quickly lost patience with me, which was fortuitous anyway because I'm happy I...
For me, it was my early exposure to the GQ fashion magazine and for others, it was a family member. What was your first source for your enjoyment of clothes today?
The thought of slaughtering younger and healthier horses in the interest of enhancing my leather jacket seems overly gruesome and self-centered. If more humane regulations result in a lower grade of horsehide, that's a compromise I can live with.
Quick update that I wore my new FQHH Highwayman today and it is, at least for me, as comfortable as a sweater. No fatigue whatsoever, didn't even feel as though I had it on, even though it fits like a glove. In the light of day, the horsehide does show imperfections, such as light scratches...
In comparison to the Lost World horsehide jacket I sampled, the Aero Highwayman in horsehide is far more pliable, far less stiff, and noticeably lighter. The LW jacket was actually painful to wear in some respects, but do not tell them that because they do not appreciate user feedback. The...
Are you addicted to clothes and wearing beautiful clothes? I'm not addicted to food, alcohol, gambling, not even sex, but I do think I'm addicted to clothes Anyone else with this addiction?
I haven't yet worn it for an extended period of time, however, at first blush, it feels comfortable and not so heavy that I really feel weighed down by it. I'm using another horsehide jacket, a motorcycle jacket, from Fox Creek as a comparison and that jacket weighs me down the moment I put it...
Thanks, man. I don't know the weight of the leather, but they suggested I get the heavy version, so I imagine it's 4 oz if that's the heaviest. Only issue I have is the zipper could be more substantial, at least for the heavier leather. I have the sense that the weight of the leather could...
Received the Highwayman today, hope to post pics. It rocks. They really nailed the fit, which concerned me because of long arms and a long torso. FQHH is on the stiff side but not unbearably so. I'm glad they advised me to get it, downplaying, justifiably, IMO, the claims of stiffness of the...
Yeah, took a while but it gave me achance to pay off bills from the holidays. But, it can take a similar amount of time to get a suit or even shirt made, so it's not an unusual delay for me. They are not charging a VAT or shipping charges. Customs charges are hit or miss.
Thank you. IIRC, I placed the order in the November/December timeframe. Didn't make any changes other than the long size. Went with their standard Tartan plaid lining. They recommend against the bi-swingback, so I took their adviceon that aspect.
I was notified today by Aero that the Highwayman I ordered is being shipped out today, and I'm looking forward to receiving my first jacket from Aero. I worked with them directly on measurements and they were really great. I usually work more closely with my tailor and shirtmaker, so I'm...
Unfortunate Experience With Lost Worlds
Despite negative feedback regarding customer experiences with Lost Worlds, I gave the guy the benefit of not having done business with him myself and contacted him about my interest in a jacket. I regret having done so. Not knowing my size, he offered...
As a quick postscript, freedom of movement is necessary in the front of the jacket, too, necessitating some added leather in the chest area. Some refer to this as drape. IMO, having a little excess leather by the chest is a plus not a negative.
I might not be the best person to solicit an assessment from because I'm new to the Highwayman and don't know if there is a consensus on how it's supposed to fit. I am pretty knowledgeable about how "civilian" clothes should fit, such as suits and sport jackets, and the last pic of the jacket...
7 foot 8? Do you mean 5 foot 8? I've heard some indicate the Highwayman is supposed to fit snugly, however I'm comfortable with some play as I like to layerwith a sweater in winter. Try on other jackets or coats in your closet and I imagine they all have some degree of play. I wouldn't get...
