True, though at least since 1939 and maybe prior, wool content was required on labels. It still doesn't help with beaver content, but at least we can be certain that there is no wool in a fur felt hat unless specified.
FWIW, in the US, labeling laws require the amount of wool to be disclosed on the label, and fur fiber is defined as, "the hair or fur fiber — or mixtures thereof — of any animals other than the sheep, lamb, Angora goat, Cashmere goat, camel, alpaca, llama and vicuna."
That means that anything...
I ordered the standard as described https://www.etsy.com/transaction/1434478443
2.25" brim, 4 3/4 crown, 1.5 band.
I asked for a long oval and mentioned my size is 57.5 (ordered a 58).
Mr. Pappa delivered on all counts.
I picked up my Milan yesterday. It was packed like the other hats previously listed. The material is not too stiff, unlike some cardboard hard straw/hemp hats I've experienced. I like the 2 inch wide soft leather sweat and the gauze like cotton liner that keeps things very breathable. It fit my...
Sorry for the delay replying: I've been away for a couple weeks. I don't have the hat yet, but have a package at the post office that they tried to deliver last Friday. Hopefully it's the hat.

Big thanks to Perry and Brent for bringing this maker to our attention. It prompted me to ask if they can size hats in long oval. Within minutes, Mr. Pappa relied,"We would enjoy creating this hat for you or any of our styles in the long oval. All you will need to do is enter your customization...
Most people just add a post to the thread indicating that the hat is SOLD

Beer samples are almost universally offered whenever a customer has a question about flavor. But wine is different because once that bottle is opened, it can't be sold to another patron, similar to the dinner you ordered. It's not a sample for you to decide if you want it: you already bought the...
