Could anyone date this for me? I tried searching the web...
M8, I had a vanson dealer special order mine, most won't stock the horsehide models, They don't make many and it takes a while unless you get lucky and they have one in stock in your size. Most cycle dealers will order you one or you can order from Vanson directly. I didn't get any discount and...
Oh Hungary, I guess that would be quite a drive, sorry, I thought you were in the States :eusa_doh: I know that Vanson will custom make raceing leathers, but If they won't return your emails that is a problem, you might try calling them and ask about getting a jacket custom fitted, I don't know...
Thanks for the link to that thread. At the risk of boring everyone to death, I looked under the sweat band and found a few labels and tags:

Thanks all, I gotta say it is a dandy, I sure wish it fit me. I bought it several months ago and forgot about it untill yesterday when going through the top of my closet. I'm always looking for fedora style hats and never seem to come across any. What defines a hat as a fedora?

I picked this Stetson up at a thrift shop a while ago and wondering if this would qualify as a fedora? It has a 2 3/4" brim and a 5" crown. It's in beautiful condition, unfortunatly I wear a 7 3/8 and this one is a 7 1/8.

I'm not sure what size to tell you to get, I'm 5'11" tall and weigh 180 lbs, I have a 33" waist and not too much fat (I have a job that keeps me fairly fit) Vanson size 42 fits me well. I think that a size 42 might be a little large on you and you might need to have it custom fitted to you...
Well this is my latest thrift find. The label says A-2, I assume it's a clone, it's a nice jacket, it feels like goat to me but who knows. I got it cheap and it fits me well. the knitting is heavy and the quality seems very good to me, the zipper is marked Scovill gripper USA. Any ideas on this...
Hi, sorry for the late reply, I've been off-line for a while. I'm not sure exactly how you want me to measure but here goes. With the jacket zipped up and measuring from the top shoulder seam to seam across the back just below the collar is 19". Bottom collar seam to bottom of jacket 25 1/2"...
I have a Schott cycle jacket of late eighties vintage in cowhide and although a quality jacket the leather on most of the perfectos that I have seen and including mine is a bit thinner and lighter than some other brands. I have a Vanson FQHH that is very heavy and stiff. I'm not sure how to go...
Thanks again for all the good words, I am used to a more form fitted style of jacket and this one seems too loose to me, both of the adjustment buckles are fully tightened and it's still way too roomy around my stomach. I think I will try and find a place I trust around here and have it altered...
Thanks for the good words everybody, I got it for $314.99, I'm still not sure what model or hide it is but I think bufffalo. I would like to get it to fit better if possible
