Hey, Fruno,
Must be a great week for Delmonico! Two hats arrived here today..a Stetsonian in Tawny and an Excellent in Sage. I have been following your saga with your order with great interest and am thrilled that your Stetsonian finally arrived!
I am thrilled with my two hats so...
Jaavadave,
I think I have a couple of pics up, but I am thrilled to death about this Racine. It is very subtle with the brass ribbon setting it off to my liking.
Please bear with me. I am hoping this will work. Thanks so much Jeff for borrowing your head to size!

Received my Stetson Racine from Jeff at Delmonico Hatters today, natural with brass ribbon. It is more spectacular than I thought it would be, as I am getting comfortable with it this evening. However, as I'm new to this forum stuff, can't quite figure out how to post photos. I am working on it...
I have been reading many articles and posts, mostly regarding Fedora hats and have run across a number of acronyms. Most I can figure out after going back or through further reading such as: CD Campdraft, SB silver belly, and so on. Is there are thread that actually lists common acronyms for us...
As a somewhat new person here at TFL and somewhat new to AE, I am surprised to read these negative comments. I've been in Milwaukee for most of my career and have been aware of AE just a 20 minute drive north of us. I've had to wear tails, tuxes and dark suits nightly for my livelihood for over...
I just received two straw hats from DelMonico hatter that fit very nicely, thanks to this thread and the personal help from Jeff. I now have added my 1st and 2nd Stetson straw hats...a Stratoliner in sand and a lovely fold-able 47. These both fit me well ..and the 47 was a great surprise in that...
Oak, right you are! I stumbled across them a few weeks ago and Reggie helped me fit a couple of hats I had acquired elsewhere. I was so impressed with their hat designs and with their kind demeanor and hospitality. As things settle down for me after the holidays...will be looking for a custom...
Jack, Robert was my go to guy there a couple of weeks back. He comes through on his own timeframe. It was rather frustrating for me but ended up ok. I needed an exchange for a larger size. Once he got it shipped I had it in two days. I'm reluctant to go through that again though.
yeah seabass, I was really impressed to see some of what they offer in my short time there. I will surely have my next hat made by them. And, thanks for your advice throughout this process.
Gary
Well Banky, you sure made my day! I cannot thank you enough for setting me straight and offering to fit my hat. I was getting pretty depressed in the long exchange process with online vendors. I am now wiser and know where to go in the future.
Just to wrap this thread up, I thought heavily about all of the good advice I received here...and returned one hat that was just a tad too small. The other felt better but was still pressing against my forehead a bit much, so I visited the Brass Rooster yesterday. The owner took a quick look at...
Well, lean'n'mean and seabass,
I appreciate your thoughts. You are both enforcing my concerns. Yes, I do have a longer head so I may ultimately have to look for custom. I am awaiting one more hat, plus a stretcher to see if I can delicately get a slight bit more room. If that doesn't work or...
