I want to make a little fedora for my dog, he is a medium sized dog (who frankly doesn't much like hats) but I think it would look fedorable.
Has anyone done so before and does anyone have any recommendations about it?
What brand do you have?
I am also one of those people who uses iPhone fold-over cases (and as I have never suffered a cracked screen I think they are worth it) but have never found a brand which would not bleed onto the cards. Even after years of use.
I could not locate a prior thread devoted to the subject (difficult as I find it to believe) and so am starting one.
What types of card cases do you gentlemen own or recommend?
I have been wanting a leather one, and have long had my eye on Fort Belvedere's...
It is really unfortunate -as I cannot get enough of the Stauer style, they look absolutely perfect to me, and the mechanism (which I presume to be the difficult element to manufacture) actually seems good. But little issues bring it down.
EDIT: Another thing I remembered - as I recall from my...
Having purchased a Stauer a year ago I can now give a review.
I purchased the Magnificat II. It certainly looked precisely how I wanted a watch to look like.
Unfortunately part of the band peeled off the second day I wore it.
Stauer was very good about sending me a replacement band, they...
I've ran across some for sale online - mostly for fraternal societies, but not a lot of general information, does anyone here own one?
Do they work well? I've always thought they'd be liable to break.
Another thing I am curious about, all the ones I have seen just have their fraternal symbol...
I am looking into acquiring a university ring, I initially considered Jostens as they seem to be the official providers but am finding their customer service to be so atrocious that I have decided to look elsewhere.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Are there any topnotch custom jewelers...
I did attempt to use the insite search function as a I recall but did not get much in the way of results.
Regardless, most of the information on this thread seems rather old and many of the recommended hats no longer seem to be on the market.
I've found a lot of wool crushables, what do people...
I am looking for a nice crushable fedora.
I recently travelled to a rainy city and keenly regretted not bringing a hat, but of course if I had brought one of my normal hats it probably would not have rained and I would have spent the whole trip trying to figure out where to safely stow it.
Any...
Assumption of arms without being granted said right from the Crown is still illegal.
It may not be enforced, but it is still illegal.
Though I have been thinking of just making one with a personal symbol on a gem, but I have no idea where to find a jeweler I could commission such a thing from.
Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone, please let me know if you have any more suggestions or words of warning!
My concern with vintage (aside from the cost of maintaining them) is the risk of being ripped off - I am simply too ignorant and there is so much to learn.
I agree with you there, I think something like a graduation ring, or a ring for some fraternal lodge makes more sense, it ought not to be just a fashion accessory, it should be more meaningful.
I've always thought a signet ring would be cool, alas I don't think my family has a coat of arms.
I am looking for cheaper wristwatches, I know some don't blink at spending a grand on a watch but I just don't have the budget.
Basically I am looking for a traditional, stylish wrist watch that would not look out of place with a suit (and would be thin enough not to be overly conspicuous under...
Has anyone ever commissioned a hat from these fellows?
Apparently this Canadian politician always wears a fedora - and when George W. Bush saw it he was so 'smitten' that apparently a hat was commissioned for him.
I simply found it interesting, I have never heard of this milliner before.
