I was in a department store Sunday and an older gentleman, in his 70's, tapped me on the shoulder and said "You look just like my father, he always wore a hat like that in the 40's." I was wearing vintage widebrim Dobbs (and a vintage coat and tie).
Thanks to you both. I'm pretty new to vintage ties, and have just picked up what I've found. Guess I have been pretty fortunate so far. Jamespowers, that is a great butterfly tie. Is it pinkish, or maybe lavender? It is hard to tell on my monitor.

Thank you for the input. I guess I was not too far off in my estimation. The blue one with the leaves is my favorite, I have a 1950's suit that it will go with very nicely. All are in great condition too, they look to be hardly, if ever worn. I felt quite fortunate to find them all in one shot.
Picked up these at the Goodwill today. All date to the 1950's I guess? Maybe some of the more informed can narrow it down a bit (first two maybe late 40's/early 50's, the others mid to late 50's?)
