Brass zipper
I was wondering if brass Talon zippers were used on any original A-2 jackets. Because on my Aero Quartermasters 42-18775-P, a brass Talon zipper has been fitted (picture below). I find the shiny brass zipper looking a bit odd on an A-2. The leather is russet horse.
Thanks Fanch, wdw. I have placed an order online and Christine replied that the leather has been cut and will get made this week.
I have been to their factory back in October and bought a 1930's half-belt which was a good find. Because I work in the office Mon-Fri from 9am-5:30pm and if I...
Thanks cordwangler, Fanch. I was looking at that page as well but was just wondering if this means they have all the sizes listed on that page in stock? I wasn't expecting Aero making so many of them in one go :p
Thanks jlee for the comparison. The new black cherry is much more darker than the old when out of direct sunlight. Do you know if Art is only using the new black cherry at the moment or have both old and new?
Thanks Rabbit. Both very nice hats you have. Looks like the oxblood has a very subtle purple whereas the black cherry's purple pops out more. I do like both colours though :)
Interesting the lightweight black cherry is darker than the dressweight. I would have thought they are the same as they...
After seeing all the nice black cherry and oxblood hats on this thread I'm thinking of ordering a fedora from Art. But I can't decide which colour, they are both amazing. Is black cherry darker than oxblood?

I do like their Four Corners jacket and the Switchyard coat. The Four Corners jacket is a repro of a California jacket from the 40's I think. FW leather jackets are very nice.
