Irish. Particularly after I spent 2 weeks in Ireland and got used to it. Also, I once used an Irish accent for a speech I gave. It was terrible because I didn't have any Guinness. [huh]
It's the very haircut I got today! Mostly because I forgot to tell my new barber
to leave some on the sides to slick back also. But I actually like it. Not-slicked it's kind of funny looking, but I'll deal with that because having stuff in my hair everyday gets old fast.
Rick's Barbershop...
This is great! I have the haircut you were describing, Alphonse, and haven't had it cut in something like 3 months because I moved to San Francisco and have been too afraid to find a new barber. My old barber cut it the first time, and every time since (except once, and it was a mess.) and that...
I'm a big LOST fan, I couldn't wait for the episode tonight. For awhile there it seemed there would be some answers! Instead it turned out to bring up more questions, but that's part of the fun.
This is from a Christian Stewardship website. Thought it was fascinating.
Human Responsibility Toward Creation ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù Humans have a very special and exalted place within creation (Genesis 1:26-28, Psalms 8:3-8, Matthew 10:31). However, Scripture provides us with no mandate or calling to...
Maybe a passenger version of this will go into production...
Back in February I was talking to my cousin about driving up to my house, about 60 miles away, and she said she'd have to see if she could find money for gas. It was funny because I never thought about it, since I don't drive. I...
Actually, I hadn't thought of it before, but I can see the comparison between Morgan Freeman and Jimmy Stewart. But Tom Cruise as the new Redford? Not so much...
I'm even reading Star Wars books in preparation for the movie! And it opens the day after my finals are done with. Obviously it's a sign.
At first I was only warm to it, hoping that if the trend of Ep. 1 being lame, and Ep. 2 being less lame (by the way, "You're not like sand" is my favorite...
And imagine if gasoline wasn't subsidized, we'd pay about 5 bucks a gallon. Yeesh.
I've heard in Brazil there are cars that can run on gas, cane sugar alcohol, and some other fuel. I think that would be really cool. If just so you could say your car runs on sugar. :p
I checked the list of banned items a few months ago, and was happy it wasn't too insane (though I'll have to leave my cattle prod at home. Blast!) But now they add lighters. I don't get it.
From Somethingawful:
A year or so ago I saw something on like, the Discovery channel, about a goat they... somehow messed with, so it lactated spider web fluid. And the image of spider goats dropping from the ceiling has never left this poor arachniphobe. :(
Even without fusing humans with chimps or whatever...
I thought this was a great flick, though, I was wincing for about a quarter of it. I'm growing more sensitive to violence (go figure, usually works the other way) but like Wingnut said it was so over the top for the most part that it was like Evil Dead or something, where it's so unreal you can...
Actually, I don't know. I'll look tomorrow morning on my way to class. Not sure where the garage is supposed to be (haven't seen the whole film) but there is an empty lot next to the house, on the left of the picture I took.
Shadow of a Doubt just recently played at out local theater the Rialto. Last week or something. I walk past the house from that movie almost every morning, but the day I learned of her passing away it seemed more significant.
Took this photo about two months ago.
Don't want to steer this topic off course too much..
I see you're point Andy. But I hold all life sacred, even that of a killer. It may seem a contradiction, but to have qualifications on compassion is also a contradiction... Anyway, I don't think we should let killers run around doing what...
