Any thought on the Scala F13?

The Eleganza was on the short list but I was trying to stay in the less than 150 range with 2 1/2 to 2 5/8 brim and 4+ C crown. Evil bay seems slow lately. I'm scouting a couple for Fall.
Hello fellow resident. I'm east of Nashville and I feel your pain. You would think there would be more hat shops in the area with all the sun in the summer and rain in the winter, but the sad truth is the only one I've located is in Brentwood called classy hats. Sort of sounds like a strip...
Welcome Picker! I can relate to the excess sun problems. I'm 45 and started to wear hats for the same reasons. Too bad I'm a 7 1/4 or I would adopt your old hats. They would go good with my twin boys that keep me at a two hat per month budget.
lol
Hi all,
Anybody else got one of these? The Ralston by Stefano from mikethehatter.com. Any feedback would be great. I want a hat with 2 and 1/2" brim and this looks pretty good. Been trolling ebay but 7 and 1/4 sizes seem to be alot of stingy brims, bowlers, and wide brims. I'm 5'10 and...
I second the color thing. I don't understand why the remaining manufacturers don't offer the vintage styles in 2 and 1/2" or 2 3/8" brims, open crowns, quality felt. [huh] I need a brown like the Akubra Fed but the 2 and 3/4" brim is just too much.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep...
I'm a huge fan of Bogey, Cagney, and Edward G. Their movies are the reason I got interested in the hats. I have recorded about 20-25 of their movies off of the cable channels here near Nashville onto DVD. If you get Turner Classics they have a good search capable schedule that publishes 3...
Let us know how it turns out. I'm in the same boat with you on my new Akubra Fed. Got the size I needed according to tape, 58, but it's a wee bit loose so I added the sizing foam. It works OK but I don't like the idea of using it.
Guess I'll just need to be patient and see if it tightens...
It's kind of odd how life changing events can make us slow down and appreciate the simpler things isn't it? I'm still knee deep in the rat race as a software developer. I would give anything to not have to do it each day at middle age, but I have 6 year old twin boys that count on me so I'll...
Hi Lawman,
I have been searching for this design. It is an awesome hat. How long did it take him? I wonder if he can reproduce it? Could you measure it and give us the scoop on it? Congratulations! If you ever want to sell it . . . I'm a size 7 1/4 joe average. I promise I'll never...
I've been following this since the other day, and I'm in for either Mr. Rover design or the FL logo design. I would also hope for high qualit felt even if it costs a few bucks more.
:-)
Fantastic looking hats. I really like the way the edge matches the ribbon. If you don't mind me asking where did you happen on these beauties? I'm trying to pick up ideas of where to look around Nashville for vintage stuff.
Thanks
Welcome. I'm new also and would give anything to find a selection like yours. I have been trolling e-bay constantly since I discovered this forum but haven't seen anything like these and Nashville unfortunately is not a big hat city anymore or either I'm just not looking in the right places...
