It’s been some time since I’ve posted in the lounge, but thought someone here might be interested in my lightly worn 405’s.
Worn twice and hidden away in storage the last few years. Excellent condition, ect.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best- Gary Mc...
OK, I'm a little embarrassed to ask this. I have had my Borsolino for a few years now and I still don't know what the little button on the side and by the ribbon is for. Would someone please educate me, please?

Thank you for the thoughts, folks. I do wear a Wigens wool flat cap in the cooler months and, in fact, it is my go-to hat when I'm wearing every-day clothes. I think I'll start hunting about for a Campdraft for everyday wear.
Thanks again- Gary Mc
Pardon me if this is not the correct place for this discussion and if it is not please move it to the correct location.
My basic question is whether or not it is appropriate to wear a fedora with 'work' clothes. I bust my rear for a living but have a bad hat problem. I generally...
I've been away fro a few days, sorry. I am well aware that 2-months Cairo to Cape Town is unrealistically ambitious, but that is the time that I have. We'll see how far I make it.
I was in Mongolia for a month last summer and in the name of saving space and reducing hassle I just took a...
So, if you were to spend two months in Africa, traveling the length of the continent, which hat would you choose?
I have just such a trip before me, Cairo to Cape Town, completely independent, overland. I heartily welcome your suggestions.

My long awaited DFT hat by Jimmy Pierce showed up today. It had been so long since I ordered it I had forgotten all about it.lol Nice surprise to come home to!

Thanks for all of the advice. I'll be going to Brooks Brothers in San Antonio next month for a jacket. My stepfather knows the tailor well since he's a Brooks Brothers clothes horse.
My regular smoke for the last year or so has been Mac Baren 'Dark Twist'. It's a rollcake tobacco that is a good crossover between aromatics and heartier blends.
Another great all -around tobacco is the 'King Arthur' blend from the piperoom.com.
To echo the others, go to your local...

Most cafe jackets are close fitting, no frill jacketss and generally have what is called a 'mandarin' collar.
The adult thing to do would be to let it go and remember you are the better person for doing so.
Me, I'd seek revenge and find a way to humiliate him in front of his class.;)
Might he be part of the reason you became a homeschool teacher?
Kodiak, what weight is the felt going to be? Is this going to be a roughwear/rainy weather hat? I'd love to have one like Josh's, but only if it would handle the rigors of the outdoors.
I know a some folks that have taken the extended BOSS courses and they called them "life changing". They also came back 20-35lbs lighter. I'd love to take one as well, I could stand to drop 20lbs.;)
Those are some pricey hats! I tried some on in the Telluride store a few weeks ago...
No it would not be rude. I work in the outdoor industry in Western Colorado and met him through a friend that knows him from his school in Utah.
I don't myspace. We had to block myspace at work to keep my employees from spending their whole shift on it. That site makes me grumble...
