Thanks Warbaby, but close up they are all plastic/celluloid and that was how they were sold. I would have been shocked with the price I paid if they were 'real' but they just look good in the photos. I can't wait to wear them.
Cheers Miss Sis, I have long thick hair so should work.
I have a trial run at the hair dressers before the main event so I'll take them along to have a go.
I'm 5'7" and my husband is 5'9".
Thank you for doing this in feet & inches, we are being pushed into European metric but I have no idea of my height in metres! :eusa_doh:
I got all these vintage hair clips & combs in one lot on ebay.
I was chuffed to bits as they cost the same amount as another one of the large ones I was watching!:D
Anyone any idea how I use these ones?[huh]
The combs have the name Harrison scratched into them which suggests...

I wear breeches or as the label says ''pantaloon motorcyclists'' when in my ATS DR kit on my motorbike. I'm afraid I don't find them sexy but they are extremely practical. Apologies for the serious face but I was caught unawares!
I have also been known to wear Land Army breeches, great...
I wear my late '60s' Brill Bros G-1 a fair bit, had it over 10 years, replaced the knits but thats all. A good solid jacket, but the leather just lacks character...
So when I spotted an early one on ebay I thought I'd take a chance on it... It looked worn, but I didn't mind doing a bit of...

Hello all you talented ladies.
I've not been on here for a while so I've just had a great time going through this thread.
Not much, but I did make our 4 year old, Wilfred, an outfit for a school performance recently. His class sang some Sound of Music songs so I made him some play clothes...
My hubbie has put some pics in the Steamer Trunk.
I think it was Colin, his first initial was C and he spookily had the same surname as us! He came across as a lovely guy with a passion for his work! Cheers for the tip on chasing him. I'll chase him anyway as he wasnts me to repair some...
I was marshalling at the Goodwood Revival this weekend. In a break from waving flags at the fabulous racing cars, I checked out the stalls selling original vintage clothing and accesories. I found a guy from South London that was selling his hand made leather shoes and ordered a pair of two...
I made the curtains for our VW kombi. Not exactually rocket science but I'm proud of them!
My husband, Mike1973, chose the material.
The bus is 1959 so I think the material is 1950esq but I wanted to go more retro but he wouldn't have it!
Mike then completely out-did me and made...
Now this is me!...:eusa_doh:
I turned 33 in December. I'm in the middle of the 6 months when my husband & I are the same age! Role on June when he'll be older again!
We started dating on his 18th birthday and he didn't want to get married until he was at least 30 but I wanted kids by...
I bought this from Miller Hats a couple of years ago, but was never really happy with it. Nothing wrong with the hat, I'm just fussy. Also picked up a similar vintage 6 panel that I prefer!
I've only tried it on in the house, so it's in brand new condition still.
Here are the details...
:offtopic: again, sorry.

Will have to meet up sometime, I was expecting to chat to people in America mostly, but this is great!
JPG is my favourite and a sexy looking bottle t'boot!
My husband bought me a large bottle nearly 10 years ago and I still have it. I also have 4 minature bottles which have metalic basks on which are cute.
