We have a very nice 221, but after some redecorating and painting, we're letting it go. Hopefully to a good home. If we used it more, I'd say keep it, but it's not getting used. :( They are beautiful machines.
Free (you pay shipping): 1930's Keystone M-8 8mm projector
This one is free. Just pay for shipping (or come and pick it up). I hate to see this thing get dumped when it should be getting used.
Selling our Keystone M-8 8mm projector. This unit is NOT Super 8 and has no sound. Pre-WWII.
This is working, but is missing the reels and a belt. We watched an old 8MM movie on it when we got it, put it away, and somewhere along the line misplaced the box with the reels and extra belts...
Before my wife lists this on eBay, I figured I would post it here. 1930's (approximately 1938) vintage Singer 221 Featherweight sewing machine. Excellent condition. Great for sewing dresses and quilts (which is what we bought it for). Unfortunately, it's been a shelf sitter and should be in...
I have a nice Coleman 425 from 1949 I love to use. Little pocket stove from the early 1950's that also gets regular use. The old stoves are fun. So are the old lanterns. Neat projects to get them up and running properly.
For a little bit, the British tents were pretty easy to come by here, but they dried up as quickly as they arrived. Should have bought a few, but I'm happy with the one I've got. Should roll it out and clean and treat it again though.
Bed roll looks nice. I'm using a Jerry Lee reproduction.
I took Jerry's new repro officers bed roll and inserted 4" memory foam into the sleeve. Bulky, but it's not a bad way to sleep on the ground.
:)
I'll have to ask him about your tent when I call him. He always has something up his sleeve.
Some beautiful work. Thank you for sharing.
I haven't built in a long long time. Some of the stuff I made in the early 1990's should still be in the san diego aerospace museum, but those were made 20 years ago. Kinda curious if they're still in the display cases. We did a fair number of...
Coyote brown is the "new black" in tactical gear.
Just be thankful you didn't get the latest version of the Royal Australian Navy's camouflage.
Navy colours in AUSCAM with reflective tape on the arms. Kinda hard to hide when you're glowing...:p
That's tough. Would be a blast to own and putter around in, but as has been said far better then I can in previous posts, old cars are a significant down side most just don't get. Performance is VERY different then anything she's been in. Maintenance and upkeep another very different world...
My favorite every day use sweater is the WWII RAF late war black sweaters Air Diggers is reproducing. More closely fitted then the white ones people visualize. Wears well for work and for casual use.
That looks like a blast. Thanks for sharing them. :)
These three snaps were taken at an old Gillespie Field event in San Diego circa 1995. We were there goofing off in HBT's and we saw a display with a M2 so we stole it/borrowed it and ran around quick for some impromptu ground crew...
LOL. Did my time rolled up in a ground cloth or rain cape before I got a shelter half then a pup tent. Those days were fun, but the were long ago. Wall tent with a floor and a cot is my preferred method.
It's a lot easier to carry the mixed drink ingredients and ice when you're not living...
