We fried some cauliflower a few weeks ago, with Wright's Barrel Aged Bourbon Bacon, and onions.
Lots of fresh black pepper, and on occasion we also add garlic.
The wife is working late, and I decided to stop by the store and get dinner for myself (ate a protein bar @ 7am and nothing else)...
The wife read an article about Norway's Slow Tv, and now she has me looking up similar programs on youtube to slow us down at night.
If you don't know, Slow Tv is an HD camera minute by minute, of a train ride from Bergen to Oslo (from the cab driver's pov).
Tonight it's a train ride in Austria...
Saturday's it's popcorn cooked in the whirly pop thingy, with theater popcorn butter salt stuff (had the same bottle since 1995), and coconut oil.
Otherwise 8-10 captains wafers and either peanut butter, or just butter.
Caramel cake...you just had to do it didn't you?
That and speckled malt...
And this would be the meal I'd come over for.
But not for anything served with Coors.
Babydoll, congratulations on the 10yr anniversary.
Outback is named of course for where their food comes from, out back.
Never been impressed with them, then again I'm not impressed with Flemings or the latest...
As work starts to slow down in a few weeks, I'll get back into wine.
I was drinking Founders beer at the beginning of spring, but gave it up for coffee until I couldn't see straight.
Of course there is one variety I won't drink, and that's pumpkin anything!
Interesting topic!
I have a Char Broil Santa Fe that I've just worn smooth out.
Several years ago a former co worker mentioned purchasing a green egg.
While the surface seems smaller than my Char Broil, he swore it would hold temps of 600 degrees for a good period of time, and that it would...
2 pieces of turkey sausage, a slice of cheese, and 2 pieces of toast.
Got to work and realized the bread was old, so eliminated that and added another cup of coffee with the sausage and cheese.
Kojak
Yeah, I know it's a 70's cop show but the wife and I never saw it when it came out because we were too young.
Also Ice Road Truckers, sorry to see Darrel Ward go, what a tragic end to his life.
Same for us last night again tonight.
A angus burger pizza with onions and bacon, and a supreme with no mushrooms.
Local company which is much better than pizza hut.
I still have a half slab of ribs, 1 piece of smoked sausage, and 1/2lb of pulled pork from Corky's.
Those will go well with 3 fried eggs over easy tomorrow, and lots of coffee.
Well I've got to get off the ground somehow. ;)
3 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, 2 pieces of sausage, grits, and biscuits (usually have toast) aka Cracker Barrel's Double Meat Breakfast. All this with 4 cups of coffee and 1 glass of water.
Usually don't eat enough during the week due to work, and my pants are getting too loose, hence the biscuits...
The Dark Corner with Lucille Ball.
Back into the film noir's.
Great movie btw, considering she was suing MGM to get out of her contract, and was on loan to FOX for half salary!
Still a true professional, she played her part perfectly.
Beef fajitas, made from prime sirloin.
I've found it's easier to cut, with less time to marinate.
GHT I live too close to too many of my favorite restaurants.
When time is limited, I stop by Corky's BBQ, Cracker Barrel, or take the wife to a family owned (since the 50's) Italian restaurant.
Work...
I've gotten into Chukka boots within the past 8 months.
Two pair of Florsheim Jet Chukka boots, one pair in black one pair in brown.
Also have one pair of Dockers side zip Chukkas.
The Dockers I bought for less than $50, the black pair of Florsheim's for $66 on sale @ Christmas, but the brown...
