You should see my new one that arrived this week, a Highwayman in seal Vicenza with button cuffs and Isle of Skye lining. I went along to Galashiels and was given plenty of good recommendations.
I always suspected it was caused by having inside pockets, particularly on the same side as the outer breast pocket. I understand that Aero try and discourage this option.
I had an Aero Highwayman in cordovan FQHH which I recently traded in with Aero. It's a really good choice if you want something that will age with a lot of character. I would guess that I bought mine about seven years ago, I only traded it because I wanted something new, I have a one in one out...
I have got a Highwayman on order; brown Vicenza, button cuffs and mid weight Isle of Skye lining.
Should be with me in a month or so, just in time for autumn.
I bought a Pike Brothers N-1 deck jacket a few weeks ago, can't wait to try it out. If London now has the mildest autumn/winter on record you can all thank me.
Sorry if I didn't make it clear in my post but I am not selling this jacket, I traded it in when I ordered a new Highwayman from Aero. If you are interested I suggest you keep an eye on the sale/used page of their website.
I know exactly what you mean, in fact I didn't quite trade in the Highwayman for my new Highwayman. I actually traded it in against a Pike Bros N1 deck jacket that I bought from Aero which I collected on the day. I have agreed that I will be trading in my oil pull A-2 against the new Highwayman...
Bump.
If anyone is interested this jacket is likely to appear on Aero's used page sometime soon, it is a 42 inch chest. I was in Scotland last week and I made my way down to their factory in Galashiels. I ordered myself a Highwayman in seal brown Vicenza horsehide (button cuffs, Isle of Skye...
My first Aero jacket was a FQHH in cordovan (mine has a Harris Tweed lining). A great choice, I look forward to seeing pictures of your new arrival on this thread.
I rarely venture beyond the Outerwear section of these fora so I hadn't seen that before. I shall keep an eye out and try to come along to one of these meets in the new year.
It may be an idea to bump this thread closer to the time of the next one?
A question for the UK based Gustin customers on this thread, how much do you typically wind up paying for shipping, duty and other additional charges on a pair of jeans from them? I appreciate that this probably varies depending on the value of the order but if you could give me a ball park...
Griff, unfortunately they fit me perfectly, are very comfortable, look fantastic and I love Clark's desert boots. You will have to prise them from my cold, dead feet. Alternatively, and preferably as I don't fancy having my feet prised from by anyone, these are the people I bought them from (I...
When my highwayman was brand new (early 2011) I deliberately wore it with an old white shirt to see if it suffered from colour bleed, there was minimal bleed but as Edward said above, nothing that wasn't easily washed out. After the first few days I have not noticed any further transference of...
Clark's collaborated with Horween last year and brought out a range of both their classic desert boots and wallabee boots in aniline CXL leather last year. They came in a range of colours including burgundy.
They don't seem to be available any more directly from Clark's website, I managed to...
In the unlikely event that I ever decide to have a career change and become a professional drag queen then I am stealing the phrase Fetish Quasi-Bolero for use as my stage name.
Great fit and a good looking jacket, the high nipped in waist works well with the half belt (though I don't imagine the combination would work too well with my beer gut).
What colour stitching did you go for in the end?
