It was a marathon, for sure. I just learned that the lining is out of print and rather rare, so I'm glad I got some before the supply was all dried up!
Awesome! Yeah, I've been here for a while, but haven't posted much in the last several years *ducks* I'll definitely post some fit pics soon. I'm waiting for the light to be right outside :)
Hello everyone!
I haven't been around here much lately, as I've been busy with other things, but I thought I'd come back and share something special that happened recently.
I made a jacket for myself completely by hand! 111 hours went into this hand stitched beast of a project. It's made with...
It has been caught up in the horse/steer vortex but Aero is handling it EXTREMELY well. One thing they've always been great about is taking care of their customers. I'm actually getting a replacement made, and not getting the slim fit either. I too would like room for a jumper :)
It's too...
Most leather jacket sleeves will shorten a little when the creases begin to form. This is why you should get sleeves slightly longer than you need when the jacket is new, as they will shorten slightly and end up just right. So, it's not that they ride up, it's just that leather jacket customers...
I tried on a heavy jumper, but it was tight. A thin one will be just fine though. With the wind protection from the leather, a wool jumper, and maybe a cotton undershirt, and whatever lining you choose for the jacket, you'll be all set for some pretty cold temps.
Sloan- Glad you like it. Mine is an inch longer that the standard LHB. I'm 6'1", so it might look short, but I'm pretty tall. My waist is 33" and my inseam is 33" as well.
Joel- Not at all. The slim sleeves actually help a lot with mobility. Because the arm holes are smaller, I can move my...
This jacket is overall very slim fitting, and the sleeves were slimmed down as well. The sateen (or is it satin?) sleeves really do help me throw the jacket on rather quickly, or slide it right off my arms if I want. I highly recommend getting it, plus it looks really nice. I seem to remember...
Well, I've been wearing it around the house mostly, with the exception of a short trip to northern California where it was cool enough to wear a leather jacket, and I haven't had any bleeding yet. The jacket is still really new though, and I haven't really gotten to wear it yet.
When my last jacket was on order at Aero, I contacted Amanda to see about getting one of those zippers on my LHB, but she said it was exclusive to the IH/Aero jackets. You guys are making glad I wasn't able to get one!
Thanks! Do you own a pair? They are top-notch as far as comfort goes. Sometimes I love the way they look, and sometimes I think they look goofy. Part of that is because I have big, wide feet! Nothing compares to the comfort of wescos though. They're so sturdy, yet light and supportive.
I asked for wine sateen, and this is what I got. I think it's brown sateen. It looks really nice in person, and the jacket slip on and off with ease :)
Thanks. The sleeves are perfect! They hit my thumbs just where I like them. I can see why you might think they need to be a little longer, but I assure you, they are fantastic. Plus, I already added an inch ;)
The boots are Wesco custom Boss.
Thanks!
Those are our ambiance lights for the deck :) they go all the way around, and provide the perfect amount of light for drinking some beers outside on a summer night with some good friends.
