Then I suppose I'm like most people. I don't have a lot of time to spare and I don't feel like I have much to offer in TFL discussions, but I have learned a great deal from the people here over the last few years. Almost everything I learned about hats, and how to dress well, I learned here at...
I was listening to 40s-on-4 on the way home from work when they switched it over to Billy Joel. I was stunned. I had seen the email from them about the BJ channel but I paid no attention; it never occurred to me they would pre-empt my favorite channel. I thought it was interesting the very...
They offer a 30-day free internet trial, but that won't work in my car. I can't understand why they chose 40s-on-4 to replace with Billy Joel. There are dozens of other channels to choose from, many with the same genre as Billy Joel. Why not add a temporary channel? SiriusXM is not listening...
At Mainebows.com, they have something similar. The "cowboy style" looks more like Colonel Sanders than the Mad Men.

A few nights ago we watched The Andy Griffith episode where Andy had to eat three big spaghetti dinners in one evening because Goober crossed up the telephone messages. So many of those old shows simple problems could have been solved if only they would talk to each other and explain things...
I found TFL in a google search. I was trying to find out how to choose the right hat and wear it without looking like a dork. I was able to find the answer to almost every question I could think of, and a lot of entertaining reading too. I overcame the dork problem with the right attitude...
That's a fine hat. I like the blue accent on the bow. I'm expecting a Shadowhawk to finish soon, too, also in steel gray. It's interesting how the steel gray looks so different to the camera in different light. One of your pictures makes the felt look blue. Bob has a picture of a steel gray...
I don't spend enough time for reading. And since I don't keep spare reading glasses in there, I usually just look at the pictures in the latest catalogs from Lands End, The Bow Tie Club, and Beau Ties of Vermont.
The first hats I bought were wool. I went for the cheaper hats at the men's clothing store because I just wanted to try them out. The wool hats were cheaper than the others, but they were not cheap: about $90 for a Stetson Lodi. Then I found the Fedora Lounge and learned about fur felts, and...
Welcome, Alsek; you look sharp.
More similar advice for you: Dress to please yourself.
There were times when I have been self-conscious of my hats and clothes. After all, a well-dressed man will stand out in a crowd, especially these days. The longer you do it, the more confidence you...
Today was a good hat day. I saw about a dozen proper hats at the Symphony of Southeast Texas Christmas concert: a homburg, and several non-stingy fedoras, but none as fine as my Black Sheep Hat Works Shadowhawk.
Besides the one on my head or the collection in my closet, ... zero. Once in a while I'll see an old gentleman in a nice hat around town; other than that, the only fedora I'll see is one of those black fabric stingies on a Goth teenager. I'm much more likely to see a western hat in this east...
Sold after only one and a half hours on ebay and The Fedora Lounge! Maybe I should have asked for a higher price.
This hat will soon be on its way to North Carolina. Somebody's getting a nice Christmas present!

I’m offering for sale a Biltmore Canadian Suede in Steel Gray color, size 7-5/8. The picture that best captured the true color of the felt is the one in which the hat is inside the hat box.
I bought this at...
If New Orleans is not too far, you might try Meyer the Hatter. They have a huge inventory and you can try on a lot of different factory manufactured hats which are way cheaper than custom. Custom-made hats are way better than factory-made, so you should go with custom if you can afford it.
