Hat is still available
Hi David, yes the hat is still available. I don't see your email in my inbox, so please try again: mister_ed1@yahoo.com . You have to have at least 15 posts to PM someone. Thanks, I hope to hear from you!
BUMP
C'mon now, we big-headed guys (including myself) are always complaining about not being able to find vintage hats in our sizes. Well, here ya go! I'll even negotiate the price within reason to give it a good home.
Yes fellow meganoggins, here is a vintage Stetson Royal Deluxe in size 7 7/8, Open Road style! I purchased it from a fellow Lounger but the crown is too tall for my facial features :( . The hat is in wonderful shape, and it should be easy to put in any crease you wish. Details and pics are in...
That's a shame. We should have a Free the Hats vigil. I agree, they should at least be displayed instead of squirreled away in boxes at the back of the store. You were probably the first person to see them in years.
...may want to drop by Judge Keller's, downtown on Clemson Ave. I was browsing in there Saturday, when what should I spy on a high shelf in a back corner but a couple stacks of old hat boxes! I didn't get a chance to check them out (it was game day and there were long lines at all the...
Good to have another SC boy here. You may know where Blakely Dr. and Grant Dr. are, on the outskirts of Laurens near the high school. They're named for my great aunt and great uncle, who used to own all that property; I remember when theirs was the only house out there. I'm originally from...
Go Cackalacky Panthers!!! I honestly have no idea what to expect from them this year. I could make a case for 6-10 just as easily as I could for 10-6. I just hope the preseason isn't an indication of what's to come. Ah well, I'll be perched with the rest of the loonies in Section 502 to take...
1970 Chevy Malibu
1984 GMC Jimmy
1996 GMC Sonoma
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix
2004 Chevy Avalanche - purchased just before gas prices soared :eusa_doh:
1994 Ford Crown Vic (inherited, still runs like a top)
Just a GM kinda guy except for the Crown Vic that came my way.
Being extremely hot-natured, I love the winter. I can wear short sleeves when the temps are in the 40s, maybe a favorite old sweatshirt or jacket if it gets breezy. I also love fall with the leaves changing, and because football season is underway at last! :)
I grew up in a small town in SC in the days before the Braves came to Atlanta, but when I was 7, the Twins and Tigers played an exhibition game in Charlotte and one of my uncles took me. I don't remember many details of the game, but I do recall being awestruck when my hero, Al Kaline, jogged...
For some reason I seem to be the Go-To Guy for juries. I've served on murder and DUI trials when I lived in SC and 2 armed robbery cases here in ATL. I had jury duty again a few weeks ago and felt insulted when they didn't select me for the jury I was interviewed for. lol
Thanks to everyone for all the great tips! Part of the trip is going to be a cruise up the Seine River, so we'll also get to visit some of the towns and villages along the way, including the D-Day sites. It's getting pretty hard to concentrate on work :) !
I'm headed there in 2 weeks. I'm 52 and it will be my first trip away from North America! I know about most of the "can't miss" sites, but are there any hidden gems that I should try to check out?
Yep, just throw it in the wash. I have a 4-yr-old Tilley T3 (all cotton duck) that's been through the wash several dozen times with no evidence of any wear. Just reshape it by hand, let it air dry and you're good to go.
