Halloween isn't too far off!!
mmm . . halloween I'd like to go as Spider Jerusalem from Transmetropolitan, but going shirtless in Reno in october is probably not a good idea. Question: Tipping in Restaurants, for Services, ??
I tip the required people (wait staff, cabbie, etc), and others if they've been very good, or I've been very appreciative of their work. I.E., I tip the AAA guy, even if it only takes him a few minutes to save my car. Having worked as a busboy for a while, I must say that waitstaff make BANK...- Phobic

Very nice sentiment EricH I may have to steal that. I use the shoe thing to get by a few people. Namely my roommate, he has twelve pairs if chucks alone. But for some reason people are more accepting of copious amounts of shoes, which makes no sense, bacause there's really twice as many of them. -

INSOMNIA!
I've just concluded that I'm going to be awake at five in the morning. Whether I'm just getting to sleep, or waking up is the fun bit. I'll also occasionally suffer sleeplessness, but never for more that a night or two in a row. So, technically I'm not an insomniac, just a night owl.- Phobic

how many is too many
I've begun getting grief from my friends and family about the number of hats I own. And I've also realized that end is still a ways away before I feel I have "enough" hats. I figured I'd come here and see how you folk deal this problem, and also see what the lounge considers to be "enough" hats. -

I have converted
That's right, I'm officially a fedora wearer now. Usually I stick religiously to my bowlers, but I picked up a Jack fedora from Bailey a few weeks ago. And I must admit, I quite like it. A few of my friend's even said it looks better than a bowler. I'll try to post pics when I get the chance. -

I'm not very picky in general. The only thing I absolutely require is something to cover me, a blanket, a jacket, whatever, I just can't fall asleep without that extra layer. But when allowed to be picky, I like a very firm bed (some people have called it a 2x4), an equally firm pillow...- Phobic

What do you use to shave?
I was wondering where you guys find that Dove Shaving Soap. I'd like to try it, or any shaving soap for that matter, becuase I had not heard of shaving soap until now. Furniture: What goes with Queen Anne?
Disclaimer: I am not an interior decorator, but I did grow up with one, and seem to have picked up things through osmosis. Seeing as Queen Anne is a relatively simple style of furniture, I'd say your pretty safe to do as you please. Just make sure that your wood or upholstery colors work...- Phobic

a question of color
I've been looking for a brown hat as of late, and have come across a bit of a quandry. Would it be better to go with a dark brown "chocolate"-like color, or a lighter "Camel"-like? I'm looking for a hat that will be relatively versatile, and seeing as I'm not well versed in what colors "work"... -

Fedora on a night out?
I usually just keep my hat on. If I'm at a restaurant I'll take my hat off, keeping it in my lap, or hanging it off the back of my chair if it's the right kind of chair. Belts or Suspenders?
While I wear a belt 90% of the time, I'm gonna go with suspenders. And I must agree with the whole better air circulation, keeping cool is very important when its 110 outside.- Phobic
