Dapper as always!
I think I've seen you a few times in Kreuzberg lately but I've always snuck past you because I'm back to short-ish hair and Jeans& T-Shirts mostly (again, grrr)... :D
Thanks!
And: I have, but I shouldn't buy glasses online... I've got quite the collection of glasses I ordered that didn't fit but were too pretty to send back! ;)
Hello everyone,
after having been gone for quite some time yet again:
This was me yesterday... Having kind of a bad picture taking-day. ( iPhone 2G and webcam are clearly not my friends)
I'm wearing Heyday Clothings “Mary” dress, which I got in a sale ( The factory produced the dresses 1/2 size...
This is me yesterday, at the end of the Christopher Street Day in Berlin. (with heels already exchanged for flats)
I thought going a bit costume-y would only be appropriate ;)
I actually had white gloves to go with the outfit, but by the end of the day they'd gotten so dirty that I took them...
Aw, thanks everyone :)
:D That's quite possible. I'm sorry I didn't notice you, I usually just march through the hipster hordes as fast as possible...
edit: argh, paying attention while reading might help...
This picture is actually already more than a week old- and the only one from that event where i don't look dorky. :D
For the details- one with a very sheepish look:
I have the same exact problem- I'm a EUR 42 (UK 9, sometimes 8). I've given up on trying to find vintage shoes years ago, but if you look carefully, a lot of modern shoes have a retro feel to them.
( for example, what about these...
the other way round
hello ladies,
soory for digging out this old thread but I really need your help :(
This time, it's not an outfit but a pair of shoes that I just bought:
Now, I usually wear neither t-straps nor shoes with a lot of detail and haven't worn golden things in...
Yes, the last Semester was a bit much, I've been walking around in Jeans& T-Shirt all the time because I didn't have the time for Vintage attire :(
No, that's the Görlitzer Park... (and thanks :) )
WOW, I wish any of my classmates would've looked that good! My final prom featured ill-fitting Suits, mostly...
This is me, yesterday, at a picknick:
Wearing the Fleur dress. (unfortunately there are no nice full length Shots of me :( )
I'm really glad I bought it and think i'll wear it a...
Studying in the park (this picture was taken right after we sat down, books & laptops came out of our bags after that. really ;) ). Not exactly Vintage, but it's the first time in ages I've worn curls & my beloved Freddies so I thought I'd share. :)
(by the way: hi! )
What a pretty dress! I'm not sure about the white shoes, though- they were my first thought too, but I'd be scared of the look being too "Doll-like". I think I'd go for nude or cream shoes or if you're feeling like heading in the candy direction- even pink or grass green.
I know your dilemma-...
Haha, that just made my morning :D
Valya: I noticed that, too! When I was 15 and dressed in vitage-ish clothing, people of my own age used the much more formal "Sie" rather than the colloquial (and age-appropriate) "du" to address me :D
I ordered these yesterday:
(flip flops city hikers)
hopefully they'll fit.
Not all too glamourous, I know, but having torn/injured almost every ligament there is in my left knee in the past 3 years I'm really not going wear heels when it starts to snow here (last year there was ice on almost...
Thank you for the help everyone :)
Oh wow, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing. :)
Actually, no.. I get almost all of my patterns from Etsy or eBay. :(
I suspected that, too! Still, I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing something terribly wrong- I'm somewhat taller than the average 1950s lady ( 5"7 ) and I had already shortened the back...
The last two I made:
This one was pretty craptastic to fit, i.e. to stop it from making me look like a giant potato :D but looking at the pictures of the back now, I think I still have a lot of work to do... aaargh :(
(the pattern is butterick 7175)
This one I actually already...
