About 12 or so years ago Aero offered a goat A-2 made in India, it was a less expensive entry level jacket that retailed for about $300. Aero provided all the materials and sent someone to India to train them on making the jacket to Aero standards. The first shipment was quite good and sold...

Ha ha, funny. I don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying Hawaiian shirts, don't see it as bad. Especially since I live in the desert and do wear them a lot. I have bought vintage shirts and sold them to Bailey's in Hawaii, at a real nice profit, which I then use to BUY MORE! :)
I've...
My wife and I live in a largish 4 bedroom home with walk-in closets in each bedroom, as well as a hall closet. Jackets are in 3 closets and my Hawaiian shirts are in my half of our bedroom closet. Most of the closets are full with my wife's clothes, naturally.
The leather jackets initially...
I know, I made the mistake of actually counting them last year, that's when I came up with 350+, and I have added since then and won't count them ever again. Living in the desert does allow me to wear them a lot, so of course I always have to have more.
Well, you can do like I did and move to stinkin' hot Arizona and not need to wear a jacket more than a few days a year. Makes it easier to cull the herd. Which I have done. I had over 100 leather jackets 10 years ago, now done to about 30, and I've only bought perhaps 3-4 in the past few...
Agree, I like it even if it isn't 100% accurate according to some. I've never been bothered with the over the top exact copy repro school, with even the mistakes included....? Nice looking jacket and really like the hide color, even though I no longer am interested in A-2's. That color in a...
It's not really deerskin, just looks like it. I had one made for my wife back when they first offered this hide. She won't wear it because she's afraid to get it dirty....otherwise it's a nice jacket and hide.

Yeah Scott, be different.
I wore my brown cafe racer to my art opening earlier this month, only brown leather there.....lots of black everything on everybody else, some wearing a lot less than others. :) I survived.

A few years ago I would have said A-2, but I no longer am interested in anything militaria as I'm buying only civie jackets now. At one time I had more than 50 A-2's on hand, but now I only have 2 repros that I never wear.
Even though I no longer ride, I just bought another cafe racer, which...
Hi Matt,
I'm still around as well, and the Classic 20th is still there albeit in slumber mode. Somehow I ended up being moderator and part owner. And yes we did have great discussions/debates on all kinds of topics.
I sold off most of my jacket collection and only have three Aero and one RMCNZ...
Technically the 20th was owned by someone other than Aero, Aero never officially sponsored it. Ken was very busy on it and it then 'died' when Ken retired and VLJ took off.
It's still there, although dormant. Somehow, I ended up being moderator and part owner. Which is kind of moot since...
Great shirt, classic well known design. Sounds like you had fun at the wedding, and welcome to Hawaiian shirt wearing.
I recently did a count of my Aloha shirts and was surprised it's over 300, I'm constantly adding more so I guess I should have expected that number. I buy vintage when I can...
I had one made for my wife when they first came out with this hide, about 8 years ago. It was much more yellow then, not so creamy. It's an excellent soft hide, has a nice feel to it and looks great. Don't forget, it's NOT deerskin.
Unfortunately we moved to stinkin' hot AZ right after we...
