Hmmm…that would be a toss up between a nice mid-width linen and narrow-width hopsack. Both are really nice. I guess I’d lean towards the linen but only slightly…and I’d probably change my mind the other way in a couple weeks!

Took an evening walk to break in birthday present to myself, a Capas Mario Panama. As much as I enjoy the Fedora Panama from David Morgan this one feels pretty darn special. Likely going to breakdown and get one in navy too for going to Jazz bars!
Any word on how their rabbit felt handles rain and humidity? I’m really interested in their Bogart inspired Shadows fedora, but living in Florida I have to think about such things.
A navy blue linen “Gatsby” cap from Capas today. Really nice inexpensive cap. The only thing I’d change is I wish the sweatband was leather (or at least fold out), but I feel that way about most caps. But the linen is really nice and I think the shape is a nice compromise between really slim...
Oh, it’s this pleasant little retention pond in front of my house. There’s a small preserve next to it full of ducks and neighborhood cats, really pleasant. The pond has some turtles living in it too who like to come up and say hi. It’s a nice place for a short walk especially at dusk.
