Had a friend ordering a so called Lewis Leathers Easy Rider jacket years ago and what he received was a "glove leather" version of kind of dark brownish jacket with painted stripes.
He got caught in heavy rain and the paint on those stripes started to wash away and his jacket turn full brown.

As said with Lewis jackets I consider them absolutely great. The only issue being the logo but one can easily rub it off.
Goldtop seems good quality for the price which is clearly a budget one (incline for Paquistan manufacturing though)
The M-1 inspired jackets are all over the place, for men and women alike.
All very flimsy and hill constructed of course. Made to last till next spring.
So ..is there a line?
Personaly my line is where my comfort lies.
I can feed my addictions as long as it does not harm my general comfort and my daily needs.
So if a given addiction I have, a deep desire to have something clashed with my general comfort and future endeavors (which has never...
I've got some riding jackets but mainly cafe racer style and a very old, fairly broken and worn brandless Perfecto style jacket (it was my fathers jacket from the late 70's early 80's).
I'm searching for an exact style, in this case a 50's styled Mc jacket like for example the Buco J-106's but I...
Hein Gericke is a brand I'm most familiar with.
True, some of their jackets are way too busy for my taste but I have to agree about the quality issue.
Harro.... If Harro jackets are on par with the one in the picture I'll surely have to check.
The Dustbowl I'm pretty much certain that 38 or 36 will do the job. As Sloan pointed out the fit is like a standard half-belt.
My problem here really goes with the Elvis. A motorcycle jacket can't be too roomy or you'll have air going up that jacket all the time and look like an inflating...
I'm quite satisfied with the quality of Aero hides.
Himel Bros. seem to be of spectacular quality but for an european citizen like me (a little bit like Lost Worlds) the import duties are heavy. I do not mind paying for the jacket, but with the amount of taxes you're paying these days the little...
The buffalo jacket is around 4 years old. Not quite broken in yet. If steer has similarities with buffalo I might be tempted to choose steer for one of my next jackets.
The look of a worn and well aged steer jacket will surely be quite different from a HH jacket.
From my experience browns age...
I'm not the selling kind that's why I asked.
Jackets get better with time and use.
But, if I had to make space for a new one I would probably think about selling.
