I love cleaning, too, and I am trying my best to ignore my husband's mess at the moment...lol He's going away for a year next week and I have been stepping over all this while he sorts everything out!
It is dusty in this area and there are dog hairs everywhere. No point in cleaning...
The cleanliness in the photos of my home decor stayed that way for approximately 3.6 hours -- or until my husband came home...lol
I love both picture and discussion threads. I can't pick which one I prefer because they balance each other out and each fulfull a need!
I couldn't believe I scored that radio. It was in a basement in an antique shop. There was a tiny sticker on it that said "35." At first I thought it was the year lol, but then I asked the owner. He told me that was the PRICE!! I took that baby home faster than you can say PHILCO RADIO.
Same -- even horrid skinny jeans (which I have on right NOW!) Just as we don't let that stuff bother us, some people do. Another case of "to each his own." I wish it weren't, but it is :(
I love everyone's place! Hehe -- I've always loved other people's home decor -- bit of nosey-ness, I guess ;) I see others have radios. Here's mine...a '34 Philco. It is under the pinups (with the faux candlestick phone on top):
I did a search and couldn't find any general home decor threads. Go ahead and merge/move if need be :D
These are from 2 years ago, but it still looks pretty much the same!

We have a pinup theme.

This is how I feel. I don't let ANYONE ANYWHERE effect my love of an offbeat appearance. Hence why i still post on here after 5 years and many of my other friends have stopped :( I also know my limits when it comes to dressing crazy (this even includes vintage, unfortunately). One day I...
Never fear, "Bagel Head" is a "nonexistent trend":

"many Japanese people didn't even know about "bagel head" until reports from overseas began...
lol
I'm one of the ones who doesn't care if my "silly" pink hair or sleeves gets put down ANYWHERE (not just here ;)) I know what I love and don't have to prove it to anyone. Even through I have tats and pink hair, I am genuinely a 20s-30s-40s lover and i don't know any other way to be. I...
Also, when I post I try to keep it vintage-relevant and I try to make it PRO-VINTAGE instead of ANTI-MODERN. A lot of the gals who no longer post here got tired of the anti-modern posts, too :(
In all honesty, a lot of the more interesting and active members have all stopped posting here because their styles were indirectly put down somewhere on this forum. I know a lot of the gals on Facebook who have tattoos, maybe a funky hair colour, don't really dress authentically vintage (I...
I don't think the quality is cheap AT ALL. It stays put all day long for me and stays bright and fresh all day. I can even eat with the lipsticks on and they don't smudge off. But I also agree with the LE products. So much hype, yet some aren't even that great. And they are over before I...
I said I was a telephone operator earlier in this thread. lol Oh dear, that was so long ago! I'd forgotten about that job! I work in an accounting dept now. Just making sure numbers add up right and all that fun stuff.....
My husband left for a year so I have nothing but time. And I can get back into all things vintage. He likes vintage, but not to the degree I do. I can finally watch more movies, listen to the music *I* want to hear, and get back into sewing :D
I love MAC makeup! The only makeup that doesn't break out my skin! I guess I do look "cheap" lol (not that I mind because I love makeup fakery!)
I'm just gonna ignore this whole MM thing and go back to the MAC I love ;)
