Thank you gentlemen, you all do me a great honor.I don't think I have seen any of you with out a hat on either. JtL in my opinion has the most beautiful collection of pristine hats on the lounge. I must admit though that watching that montage for more than a few seconds may cause brain damage. -

Facial Hair.....And Hats
Since I was a teenager I have started to grow a beard starting in September or October and growing it till December then reducing it till only the handlebars remain. After that then it is a snip here and there till I am facially free of all hair. -

The Dobbs Diner...
Perhaps the vented variety were before or after the date of that ad. The ribbons both look wider than mine and more narrow than rlk's. It says in the ad for sport, vacation travel. I wonder since rlk's is a "vacation" if there is a sport and a travel version as well. -

Both are beautiful. The Dobbs is the same color as mine. Art does terrific work. His is a stunner. How soft is the Dobb's crown? Can that crease be popped out to an open crown easily with out any telegraphing? Sorry for the silly questions but I gotta know. -

It seems to be identical to mine other than the side perforations and the "Vacation" designation. Even the block number is the same #105. I really like this particular block. Good luck with the sweat. -

Absolutely no argument about the felt. I'm curious rlk, is the felt really white or is it slightly off? Mine although in the light appears white has a definite yellow cast. A sweat can be replaced. I agree the non reeding affords a bit of give. I would put in a gross grain ribbon instead of... -

French Hats and makers.
I don't really know. It is very light weight and is made well. I suspect no earlier than the 40's no later than the 50's. What ever the age it is a wonderful hat to wear. It will be one of my travel hats from now on. -
