Hello all ~
I have a nice old kersey wool navy peacoat for sale. I believe this coat was manufactured in 1971. The coat is near mint and as best as I can tell it was either never issued or rarely worn. I can find no moth tracks or anything else wrong with the coat. Very nice condition - hard...
Stevenson Overall also makes a good duck jacket (in standard brown duck and indigo duck). Nice, but pricey. I like the hardware.

Depending on your location, it's not a bad idea to plan on getting two coats, one in a 38 to wear with minimal layering and one in a 40 to layer under. I have a 1968 Pembroke size 40R and a 1963 in 38R and the difference in fit is quite substantial. I love and wear them both.
At some point...
I think winterland's point is that a cubic zirconia is clearly inferior to a diamond, whereas filet mignon and ribeye are both very desirable, and more or less on par with one another, as are Aero's horse and steer hides.
I don't think anyone is arguing that you shouldn't get what you pay...
I think many have come to prefer horsehide because they've been told that its preferable. As mentioned, nobody can tell the difference between quality horse and quality steer, except for a few experts. The issue at Aero has born that out beyond any reasonable doubt.
The other one I grabbed is a '68 size 40R. This one I've been wearing a ton, as it's a roomier fit and has some moth tracks, which makes it perfect for cool-weather outings with my 2.5 year old. (The coat has already been hit with oatmeal, peanut butter, tomato sauce, etc. Most of this brushes...
I thrifted a couple of great kersey wool naval peacoats this month, including a size 38, 1962 coat that is a perfect fit.
This coat came with the shoulder patch with the eagle, lightning, and red arc. Curious what the accepted protocol would be with respect to the patch. I'm inclined to...
Hmm. Giles at Iron Heart U.K. is usually a very stand up guy with a strong and reputable internet presence (though not on FL) and for people who haven't dealt with him before it might be fair to withhold comment/opinion based on one person's experience. Of course, I do sympathize with @Alex's...
Wow, just caught up on all this. Never worked directly with Will but I'm really sorry to hear that Amanda has left. She could not possibly have been more responsive to the chains of emails I sent as I put together an order with her a few months back. My experience with Amanda was fantastic.
Not only is leg twist normal but some would be disappointed if their jeans didn't have or develop leg twist. I'm in that camp...I love it. It has nothing to do with being cheaply made. Most quality loomed denim will develop twist in the direction of the twill (left hand twills like Lee twist to...
Wow, Seb Lucas, that is one amazing jacket. I love the grainy leather and all the details. Is it black or brown? Looks like dark brown but I can't tell if it's taking color from the rug or something else in the room.
I'm really happy to see another happy JL customer. I visited them a month...

For sale is a beautiful, lightly used Aero 50s Halfbelt in standard size 42 with no modifications. Brown fqhh with brown alpalca lining. Talon front zip looks and works great. The jacket has been worn about 40-50 times by the original owner and a few hours by me for sizing. The hide is...
