I have been wondering, is there a list of vintage hat companies (1900s-1970s), and with their opening and closing dates? I can't seem to find such a list. If it doesn't exist, I think it would be quite useful. :)
Thanks! :)
I enjoy buying old records from the thrift store (they are all 50 cents each!), and it is easy to find old records. :D
While browsing the records section the other day, I picked up several records, (one of them was from the 20s!), however, the most mysterious record I found was a record by Bob...
Dear God, thank you for helping me get, and play the melodeon, and harmonica. I am extremely grateful for these gifts! Amen.
Today, I have recorded Silent Night on my Accordiola Mundinger Diaton III Grand Luxe club accordion. :D

I found this very unusual collarless plaid shirt made by Peter Barton's Closet at the thrift store today. It was made in Italy. It is constructed similar to a normal button down shirt, but the buttons don't go down all the way, and are off center. There is no collar, and the cuffs have only one...

Today, I picked up some records, a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a very unusual collarless plaid shirt.

Last Saturday, I exchanged the Cingolani accordion as there was a crack in it. The exchange was easy, and the fellows at the accordion store were friendly. The new used accordion I got is from the 1960s, and is made by Arpeggio. It works fine, and is in fine condition.
I found this hat on Etsy. It was made by Sears, and appears to be a sun hat, mixed with a pork pie, and a trilby.
What kind of hat is this exactly?

I found this picture of Lawrence Welk wearing what appears to be a polo shirt, over a shirt and tie.
Is this a polo shirt, or is it a sweater? Did other people in the Golden Era do this as well?
Dear God, thank you for helping me get, and play the melodeon, and harmonica. I am extremely grateful for these gifts! Amen.
Today, I have recorded the Clarinet Polka on my Mundinger Diaton III Grand Luxe club accordion! :D
Enjoy! :D
