Nice hat, but a slightly disappointing post, since it did not include a photo of your lovely bride and her choice for the trip. -

The most recent one I can recall was someone who didn’t know the difference between “grizzly” and “grisly”. We in the Former North American Colonies call that a “howler”. Same idea.- Who?

Spellcheckers will not protect one from a choice of the wrong homophone. People will giggle and sneer, when a poster demonstrates that they don’t know them apart. On websites where illiteracy is the dominant mode, one can make long (and amusing) lists of such mistakes.- Who?

I can’t resist asking, where do you intend to wear this rather unusual piece of headgear? What reaction do you think it will produce in those who see you wearing it? You don’t give a clue to your location, so it is difficult to guess your potential “audience”. -

I wish I had bought one of those coats many years ago, but I didn’t, alas. Too late now, since I seldom have reason to go outside in nasty weather these days. A Drizabone coat, and an Akubra Territory sounds like an unbeatable combination. At least I have the hat. -
