    Well, I just learned something new about my jacket. I noticed a second snap on the lapel, that you can’t see when the lapels are open. And this is what it’s for. You can’t see it from the front. So I can wear it either way, collar splitting the zip or all snapped down. Very cool. BTW...

    Very nice. I recently picked up a crosszip, and mine does the same thing if I try to zip it all the way up—either the collar splits the zipper, or with the zip all the way up, the collar sits kind of funny. Is this a normal feature with all crosszips?

    I’ve worn my early 90’s Levis jean jacket twice in the last couple of months. Strange, because I don’t think I’ve worn it more than a handful of times since I bought it, way back then. I just kind of fell out of love with denim jackets… not sure why.

    I heeded @Viking752’s advice, and took my Schott 515V vest out for a spin. The vest is hot. I thought there would be much more air circulation. I was actually sweating—that surprised me. But I looked cool. Lol.

    Not a jacket, but, I had a brand new pair of boots shredded by a cat (no idea how old the cat was). When I say shredded, I’m not kidding— the boots were destroyed! So yeah, this one had a thing for leather. I wouldn’t take any chances… I’d buy my kid a hamster.

    Yeah, I should. I used to wear vests all the time (I got my first leather vest for Xmas when I was about 13). That’s one of the reasons I bought the Schott, but I need to get it broken in so it loses the “boxiness”. Stock photo of the one I have:

    I picked up a Schott leather vest in that style a while back. For some reason or other, I’ve never worn it! It’s still got the tags on it.
