I don’t particularly care for back bows, and the brim is a bit less-than-wide for my preference, but when the seller said “This price or Goodwill” I had to say yes. Who can resist an under-$20 hat!?!
My cleaning arsenal consists of a hat brush, a tea kettle, a hat sponge, a clean cloth, and Woolite. I rarely have to go past the brush and some steam; it gets a surprising amount of dust and buildup off (if you have a wife, you may want to do the brush step outside...). A very small amount...
I learned those rules as a boy, and I can tell you that one thing I will NEVER forget is that you didn’t go into my grandmother’s house with a hat on. You didn’t wear muddy boots in the house either. At least not more than once!
