    War and Peace. Anyone going?

Just behind the fence next to the main entrance into the event. There are with the Hurricane and Mk IX Spitfire, so should be easy to spot.

    War and Peace. Anyone going?

"Had a nice time then, it's great to meet up with your mates at events like these and show your stuff off. What is the Hornet Squadron? Just curious, don't worry I won't be trying to join:rolleyes:. Cheers all :)" Hornet Squadron is one of the WW2 RAF groups I am a member of. My main group...

    War and Peace. Anyone going?

I was there on Tuesday when the weather was ok. Getting in was fun with all the mud! I spent most of time with Hornet Squadron, but did get a chance to look at the stalls.

Yes, the jacket is extremely well preserved and does not look as if the jacket was worn much in the War.

ALL ORIGINAL Irvin RAF type Jackets - Loving that Wolf in sheeps' clothing!

I recently acquired this all original 1939 Wareings Irvin. It has the Dot British zips, which work perfectly. It was made from a thinner fleece than many I have seen from this maker. I particularly like the tan seam tapes and collar back. There are no patches or ugly repairs and very little...

    ELC B-3 in size 44

Up for sale is this superb early 1990s Eastman house B-3 in a size 44. It is in lightly worn condition with no issues. The Marino fleece is soft and curly. The cuffs, hem, collar and windflap display very little wear to the fleece. The repro Talon zip works perfectly. These early Eastman B-3s...

    Airshows UK 2017 - Who's going?

They no longer have the Autumn air show at Duxford. The September one is the last DX airshow of their season. I'm going to this one, Legends and Biggin Hill for their centenary air show.

Best Place To Sell Old Talon Zips?

The ones used on military kit are the most desirable, especially those used on A2s, G-1s etc... They are often advertised on Ebay, but to avoid their fees you could try advertising them in the Classified section here in Facebook groups, of which there are many linked to military uniform and...

BR Superior Togs B-10 size 44 for sale

U Up for sale is this superb Buzz Rickson’s reproduction of Superior Togs’ B-10. B-10s were usually made with olive green knit parts, but for this particular model the Superior Togs used rust coloured knits which give it a distinctive look. The jacket is in almost new condition and has had...

Battle of Britain Era Irvin for sale

Thank you. It is a very nice early Irvin.

    My first Irvin

The jacket has the square ended collar, darker seam tapes, which are typical of this maker and the contract was issued to DGL. I have seen earlier ones from the same contract (H.174372) which still had the maker's name on the label.

    My first Irvin

Battle of Britain Era Irvin for sale

I have decided to sell a 1940 two panel Irvin from my collection. The fleece is a nice golden shade and the skin is the desirable chestnut shade with a lighter russet collar back. All the stitching is original and in tact. The double trunnion Dot zips work well and there are no missing teeth on...

    My first Irvin

Very nice indeed Richie. I am trying to ID your Irvin. The contract label is for Irvin trousers and it is a 1940 contract but the jacket dates from 1941. The last number on of the contract is really hard to read. Does it have large or small collar rings? Please can you post a picture of the...
