Stratoliner Pin auction link
DC-3 pin auction link
The hat came with the two-engine DC-3, but the Stratoliner plane has four engines. Get the one you like, or get both. :)
Here's the third one of these I've ever had in my hands. It's a pin of a Stratoliner - not that DC-3 pin that Stetson put on their Strats, but an honest to goodness representation of a Stratoliner.
Toss the DC-3 and get the real thing.
Here's the link to the auction.

The last time I put two Strat pins up for auction, both went by BIN within an hour. This is a rare second chance.

The contradiction in one ad - 4 engines in the air, two engines on the hat.

If you could have only one hat, how would it look? How would it feel?
To match almost anything in your wardrobe, you'd...
We've got all sorts of threads mentioning nutria hats in both title and text, but there's no thread dedicated to Stetson's Nutria Quality (as opposed to Real Nutria, Clear Nutria, or just plain Nutria designations). As we've got threads for the other western/cross-over quality designations, it...

With one of these on the way, my interest is piqued. From what I've seen so far, Air Lights were offered by Stetson between 1934 and 1943.
Let's see what you've got. Post all Stetson Air Light hats and info. here.

There's the 7x Clear Beaver thread,
there's the Beaver 100 thread,
and there's the "standard" 100 thread..
25s seem to have exploded in popularity and availability lately, so I think that they deserve their own thread. Western, OR, OR-style, or otherwise, post everything you've got on the 25...
It doesn't get any better than this 1960s Stetson Beaver 100. Like the 7X Clear Beaver, this hat is made of 100% beaver. Unlike the 7XCB, this one was Stetson's most expensive, regular production hat - its name was its price. Only the most skilled and experienced hatters at Stetson were...
It worked well as a thread last year, so I figured that we'd give it another shot.
Post your favorite hats of 2010, whether they're your hats or not.
I bought three hats this year. While I'm fond of my Stetson "The Avenue" bowler, and the recent Beaver 100 is fantastic, the green Borso is...
That's right, Crazy Fun Times Liners.
This is not about your elegant, engraved, pleated, bowler liner, or that rare liner showing the transition between something and something. If it doesn't make you think "man, that's a Crazy Fun Times liner", then it doesn't belong here.
This is Crazy Fun...
The links for the auctions are in a post below. There are many more photos in the auctions, and all sorts of measurements.

Leather cap
Deadstock Crown Overalls Jeans
I hoped this one would fit me, but at its biggest, it's a small 7 3/8. I'm comfortable saying that this cap can be adjusted to fit between a 7 and a 7 1/4. The visor and sweat are leather and the crown is suede.

This keeps coming up and we don't have anything close to an answer.
Rlk put together some great information on the origin of the term "fedora" and the way in which hats with that label changed from the late 1800s into the early 1900s. Now, let's try to define the term as we understand it...
Many Loungers have found vintage hats that were once owned by someone of historical interest or significance: politicians, soldiers, businessmen, etc. I've seen a number of such hats posted in various corners of the Lounge by Dinerman, rlk, buler, and ScottF, but thought it would be great to...
I didn't think I'd ever get into these, but I'm starting to take notice of them. Now I just have to find one that fits me.
Today's find
The one I recently sold.
