Compared to horsehide the goat is much more pliable but it is substantial. I have a J-23 in Horse and Goat essentially I will use the Horse for long rides and the Goat for shorter rides + I know I can wear it into the summer whereas the Horse not so much.
I bought this jacket for casual wear...
He is an Excellent dog with all credit for training going to my daughter. We of course are taking care of Loki while she is in the Coast Guard...thinking that will be for a very long time as she will be unavailable for quite some time.
Sorry if I am off topic but had to brag....
Ok, so we had some snow in Tennessee last night! So Loki and I went outside to welcome it! This morning we were at 8 inches but the best part.....it will be gone by tomorrow. The South does have it's advantages when it comes to weather. The new Suburban Goat from LW definitely did it's job...
Actually Stuart offers different sized zippers if you ask. I have a goat "Suburban" jacket coming in tomorrow that after some discussion I chose a #10 Zip over the #6 because it is similar to the #10 Zip I received on a J-23 Goat from him. I have a Crown Zip #10 on my Horsehide J-23 which is...
Nick:
I am not sure if you ride or not but I have a Trojan and it is really nice for riding. It does not climb up around your neck while riding and you don't have to fool with the length like one has to with the J-23. I have both jackets and I really enjoy riding with the Trojan. The J-23 is...
Hi Guys:
I added this Lost Worlds J-23 in Goat to my collection earlier this year reasoning that it would be a decent riding jacket for Tennessee in the Fall and Spring. I got where I wear it all the time now for casual wear and just ordered a LW Suburban in Black goat a few days ago from...
I had a Aero Stockman in Oil Pulled Horse about 6 years ago. This looks like the same type of Horsehide. It wore very well and held it's shape but you have to be careful with it. For example if you drive long distances take it off and throw it in the back seat (wrinkles and dents in the elbows)...
I have heard that it came from Willis & Geiger before Lands End purchased them. I have seen W&G versions on Ebay recently with the Red label. This would tie in Lost Worlds, U.S. Wings and Avirex/ Cockpit as I am pretty sure all 3 companies produced jackets for W&G. I do not think that the...
Hmmm top 3? They constantly change that's the problem. So in no particular order here are the 3 I think I like the most:
The Lost Worlds Trojan:
The Lost Worlds J-23 in Brown Horsehide, (former Bike):
The Lost Worlds B-2 (New Favorite Just Arrived)
Really Like this B-2
I currently have 5 Lost World Jackets all are D pockets 4 are horse and 1 is goat. LW is now using a CX horse that seems more malleable but still very thick. I have 2 of these (both russet) and they are both new this year and seem to be breaking in nicely. I have an older (4 years old) CX black...
I think the photo here was the "perfect fit period" which lasted through high school. When we first ordered the jacket the sleeves were a bit long but she used the tried and true "kid method" of breaking in a jacket as opposed to the "hot water treatment" so when we sold it on ebay it definitely...
