I doubt anybody has one of these, but if you've got an Eastman Redskin B6 you're looking to move on, then get in touch.
I'd need a 46 long or extra long having tried one in their store.
I'd consider a 44 L / XL too.
Cheers!
When I was down at the Eastman shop last week, for comparisons sake I tried on one of their B6s. I was immediately struck two things - firstly, how much more crinkly and stiff the exterior of the jacket was (Aero's is buttery soft from the get go), and secondly by how much shorter the pile of...
Do any of you guys get loads of grief about your jackets?
So far I'm not having much luck with any of my WW2 era jackets I've purchased which have failed to pass the girlfriend test (although I'm beginning to suspect this is an impossible test to pass)....
In her opinion:
- Aero B6: "Eew...
Yesterday I decided to take a day out and travel down to London to visit the Eastman pop up shop which is currently on in Shoreditch. I'd been after one of their B-15s for a while, but I was fully expecting to have order custom order a long size. At the very least, the trip would be worth it to...
If you've got either an Eastman G1 or M422a in a size 46R, send me a PM. I'm located in the UK.
Tried on a 46R at the pop up shop today and it fit perfectly, so just looking to see if anybody has one out there they're looking to move on!
Thanks!
Hi all,
I just received this amazing Bill Kelso M422 I purchased off another member on here...it's a superb jacket, but is (frustratingly) fractionally too big for me. I flip flop between a 44 and 46 in certain jackets - I have a 44.75 inch chest - and this is probably best suited to someone...
Has anybody ever bought anything from this company? They have a big eBay presence as well as selling via their own website. They sell a lot of replica uniforms and equipment, with a couple of US flight jackets thrown into the mix.
Not much info on them around here...the products are apparently...
Hi all,
I'm after an M422a repro, ideally by Eastman or Aero. I know sizing varies wildly on these jackets, so I'll potentially consider anything from a 44, 46 or even 48.
I'm a tall guy so must have decent body and sleeve length!
I'm located in the U.K for reference.
Hi all,
Does anybody have any experience with Flight Apparel Industries G1? I found this one on eBay and the measurements look like they would be a good fit...still, my hunch says I should splash the extra cash and go for one of Aero's M422a in stock on their sale page...decisions decisions...
I'll probably end up ordering another Aero A2 at some point in the near future...I had a 15142, but found the sleeves much too baggy, shoulders a smidgeon too narrow and the length just too short. It just didn't work on my body at all.
The 38-1711 contract seems to be regarded as the slimmest...
Selling my essentially brand new Pike Brothers B-15 - wore it once yesterday and decided I would really need a size XL. Unfortunately I'd already removed the tags so I can't return it. Really just looking to get back what I paid give or take a few quid.
Awesome, awesome jacket. Really well...
Hi all,
May I present to you all my latest acquisition - the Pike Brothers B-15 via Aero.
After taking delivery of my absolutely awesome B6, I was keen add another jacket to my collection that I could wear on a more daily basis. I tried the Avi Lthr G1, but sadly it didn't work out and I will...
I have found references in certain texts to both a B-1 and B-2 flight jacket - presumably these are very early versions of what would evolve into the B3. Lost Worlds make a version of the B-2, but other than them I cannot find any information on either of these jackets anywhere. Has anybody got...
Looking for a B-15 jacket if anyone has one...I'm after the variant that has the two leather triangle tabs attached to the chest.
Ideally I'm looking for one that is slightly longer, although I will consider regular length depending on measurements.
Drop me a message if you have anything of...
Anyone have any recommendations? All the threads I could find on this topic were quite some years old.
I believe there are a couple of highly regarded Japanese ones - one is called Full Gear, the other I can't remember exactly. From what I read, the author of Full Gear was working on an English...
I'm liking the look of the B-10 jacket quite a bit...kind of a cotton version of the G1. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to who to go for? There seems to be quite a few out there.
It seems that Aero sell a Pike Bros variant on their site - interestingly, they state on this...
Hi all,
Looking to see if anyone out there has any slimmer fitting A2 jackets available. Ideally after an Eastman Slender (or similarly slim fitting cut from any manufacturer) in a size 46L, although possibly 44L depending on manufacturer.
I'm located in the UK.
Thanks!
Hello all,
I just received my brand new Aero B6 in seal brown sheepskin with seal trims...and she's a beaut! Big thanks to Holly at Aero for being so helpful and patient during the ordering process...it was worth the wait.
As some of you will know, I decided to sell my Aero 15142 A2 that I...
I know that discussion of faux leather jackets is blasphemy around here, but I thought it was interesting that Zara has produced what looks to be a very close copy of the B6 in their latest collection. I know it's not 100% accurate, but I've never seen a high street company produce a jacket that...
Hi all,
So the bug has caught on - I'm ordering a sheepskin jacket for the winter to beat the price rise at Aero! Dear god, what am I doing... :D
I'm 99% settled on the B6 but have a couple of questions I was hoping you could help with first:
- I was wondering if anybody knew historically...
