They’re made in very small batches and released once a year with a handful of preorders directly on the TMC website (you have to email them bc the forms and payment system are setup for the Japan market) and a couple of stores in Japan...- soundwavvves

Thanks man! Yeah TMC tweaked a few things on their version which I believe were deliberate refinements. Where the original jacket’s shoulder width equaled the chest width, this jacket has 19.5” shoulders and a 21” chest. Here’s my take: not a scam. There are lots of resellers in Japan who list active items on Japan Mercari and Y! Auctions with a big mark up for sale to US buyers on eBay. You pay them, then they turn around and buy that item from the seller in Japan, it ships to them and then they ship it to you...- soundwavvves
