    I’m not anywhere as knowledgeable as the gathered crew but at just a tad shorter than you I would want something more along the lines of 23-24”. Might not be appropriate for this style of jacket but that’s just me - I really think it’s down to personal preference.

    Not been my experience, try finding tops of any kind that properly fit narrow shoulders, small chest and wide hips. At 5’10.5” and 150lbs I’m not carrying a lot of extra weight so the problem isn’t at the waist, it’s lower down.

    Are you thinking of Mr Freedom? I know for some of their undyed campus jackets they pre tan them in the sun, though the reason for this is just to age them a bit and warm up the colour.

    Slightly more modern than what Abbey specializes in, looks quality though. I prefer polished, unaged brass to start.

    They’re not cheap but I’ve been happy with the belt fixings et cetera I got for an erstwhile hobby that dried up when I realized, after friends and family, the only way to keep selling belts would be too much mental work with websites or etsy stores or whatever.
