WTS: Aero B-3 Shearling Bomber Jacket | Tagged 36 can also fit 38

Thanks for the quick response, it sounds like the sleeve would be too short for me, but good luck with the sale, someone’s going to love this!

WTS: Aero B-3 Shearling Bomber Jacket | Tagged 36 can also fit 38

That’s a nicely executed B-3! Which leather is used? Are the zips brass or nickel? What is your normal sleeve length and how do the sleeve measurements translate vs a non-shearling jacket? This is the most important question for me - I spec 26-26.5 sleeves on jackets, but may go shorter...

    SOLD

Sleeves are ~2” too short for me, but otherwise, this would have been perfect. Did you mean to list it for $150?

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

I’m very interested in the idea of adding a front drop independent of the back length - has anyone gotten Aero to do this before?

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

The J106 was on Aero’s used page and it really spoke to me. Sure the sleeves could be longer and the back a bit shorter, but I got a wild jacket I never would have speced myself and I’m super happy with it.

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

Ah, I did not know Aero could add a front drop - 0.5" in the back plus 0.75" in front would bring the front down 1.25" - that would cover the belt nicely - thank you! @TartuWolf - if you don't mind my asking, the fit on your HH looks amazing - what makes you wish for a wider hem?

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

Definitely it is too short! If I make it longer, and it hits the curve of my butt, I'm worried that will make the hem too tight. Should a half-belt hit at the bottom of the pants belt, or lower?

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

Badalassi Hooch Hauler - I'm blown away by this jacket, and therefore a bit blind to any fit issues - but the back came in almost a full inch shorter than requested, so I'm discussing options with Thurston Bros. In the event Aero will remake the jacket, I have a dilemma... At the current length...

    Aero J-106/Ridley fit check

The feedback actually dispelled all my concerns about the fit, sure it could be an inch shorter, but the more I wear it, the better it fits and the imperfections fade away

    Field Leathers

A chunkier main zip would likely yield an extra half inch in width - I’m considering moving to a #8 or #10 on my Route 66 for some extra breathing room

    Aero J-106/Ridley fit check

Thank you both - I can easily recognize a great fit on someone else, like, Tartuwolf’s HH, just about anything Marc or Mr Proper share, but I never broke down which elements contributed to the fit - I it seems like the shorter length on a Perfecto style cross-zip facilitates the V shape, but...

    Aero J-106/Ridley fit check

My mistake, this J106/Ridley's back is actually 25.5". Do the same length guidelines apply to cross-zip half-belts? I have a size 36 Hooch Hauler size 36, spec'd with a 25" back, now I'm wondering if I should shorten it.

It’s definitely not a coat I would wear unzipped - the second photo shows the back when fully zipped, the remainder are unzipped

    Aero J-106/Ridley fit check

Wow, this has been very eye opening; so much of what I’ve learned about cross-zips has come from AeroFan, TartuWolf and Canuck Panda’s posts - and yet, I hadn’t considered the length at all, I’m 6’1” and the back is 25” even - it hits a hair below my belt, but comparing to CP’s photo array, an...

    Aero J-106/Ridley fit check

The fit is better when zipped to the top, but I will rarely wear it this way.
