Here's a lightweight vintage halfbelt I picked up off ebay for the princely sum of $9.99. Needs a new liner and has some issues, but is wearable. I assume this style would originally have had belts that buttoned on to the buttons at the back of the halfbelt. Tagged a 42, but I usually take a 38...
Just scored this WWII m465 Colvinex Jacket. I saw one of these in an antique store in 2006, but they were asking something like $600 for it. I've wanted one since then. I got this for $25, so even though it's rough and will need some work, the price was right.
I'm back home for Christmas, so it's time to liquidate some of the collection and all of the stock.
I'll post 'em as I list 'em. Keep an eye out- there's going to be some good stuff over the next couple of days.

Any of you at Dulles airport today? I saw someone wearing what looked like an A-2 and an Indiana Jones- style fedora. From the felt finish, maybe an Adventurebilt?
I think it's European military of some sort, but thought maybe one of you would know exactly from where and when.
Double breasted, raglan sleeves, oatmeal lining, belt loops. Bought it for my dad for him to wear on his motorcycle. He was looking for something with a bit more substantial...
With my custom tenor guitar and Gibson RD coming in, it's time to thin the herd. So if anyone's interested, I'm looking to get $450 shipped for this Godin 5th Ave. I'm the second owner and it's in tip top shape. The original owner added a mini-humbucker. Sounds great, plays well...
I just scored this one. From the label and looking at some other sites, it appears to be from around 1950.
Probably not most peoples thing. Western shirt styling, snap front, white leather body, hair on cow trimwork, snap front and cuffs. Interesting that it has a loop collar closure. Looks...
I've had this one since '07. It was always a bit too small on me, but with the green felt (which is truly a hard shade to photograph) and great style, I held on to it. With four more years of school, year-round from now on, rapidly approaching, I won't be here to appreciate it, so off it goes...
I finally had the presence of mind to have my camera on as I passed these for the hundreth time on the red line of the metro. There are some in tourist service in DC. I guess these are spares?
Another interesting old building in Halifax will be coming down this coming year. The current plan is to replace Queen Elizabeth High School, built 1941, with an "urban farm" or community garden, but as it's not really in the middle of a neighborhood (its bordered by the commercial strip on one...
I'm used to seeing the german overcoats which wrap around, with the internal snap belt and the external belt securing the front, with the downturned lapels, front and back yokes and slash handwarmer pockets. This one's a bit of a departure from that style, with more traditional overcoat styling...
I have a '50s Stetson 7X clear beaver western- tall crown, wide brim, that needs some work and I'm looking to get it completely rebuilt. The hat has enough felt to do the work I'm looking for. It's got a raw edge currently, and the sweatband completely disintegrated shortly after I got it...
It started with this tie:
The recipe calls for:
3/4 oz. lime juice
3/4 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz. Puerto Rico rum
1 oz. Jamaica rum
1/2 oz. Apricot liqueur
shake with cracked ice.
Serve un-strained.
Decorate with fruit, mint.
A trip to the liquor store later, we had a whole mess of Zombies...
