Said so long to Harley after almost 20 years of great riding! Four times out west, four times to Daytona, once to Sturgis and all over the South on 6 different bikes! 74 is a good time to quit for me! Loved every minute of it especially with Joselyn on the back! So long Harley it’s been good to...
That looks like an old friend of mine. Did it come with fur collar and belt? I sold it a few years ago to fellow on here from CA. It was a great jacket but I got a lttle too big around the waist for it. LW Trojan is one of the best designs in my opinion.
It's a little large in the upper body but not problematic. I had a size 44 but zipping it up was a real hassle as I was carrying too much weight in the mid waist so I moved it on. When this size 46 popped up last week I got it right away. It zips up no problem and generally will be fine this...
Well the Indian arrived today from the "Stock" Section of the overhauled Aero site. It arrived on time and the jacket is comfortable and the Zips work great! Should be a great jacket for this winter.
I think I am coming up on Ancient hippie grand dad at 74 as my daughter is expecting in a couple of months there will be 5 grandchildren in the mix. But hey like most of you other old farts I sure have done and seen and experienced a hell of a lot!
Yep, I ordered that fantastic looking size 46 Indian yesterday! It’s not showing as shipped yet but no big deal as I have the order# as going through so expect to see a DHL notification tomorrow sometime.
I just went throught the new Aero site and it looks pretty decent to me. The photos enlarge nicely when you move over them so one gets nice close views of the leather on the jackets which is particular nice in the "Stock" section where you can review different offerings of leather types on a...
A few days ago I decided on this Thurston Bros Aero Teamster and it really is nice. I owned a Teamster a few years ago but didn't particularly like the lining so sent it on to someone else. This Patriot Teviot Waverley Tweed wool lining seems to me the perfect weight for this jacket. The Horse...
As a Southerner I post photos on here all the time including my face. While I understand your trepidation, especially as a teacher in todays world and in the South. My attitude is a little different towards folks down here in Tennessee and Georgia. I am sure you know the saying "Well Bless their...
Ok, here is my budget method of collecting leather jackets. About 20 years ago I applied what I deemed to be the best way to get decent clothing and collecting leather jackets. Number 1. Always by upscale jackets like Aero, Lost worlds Inc., Goodwear, Eastman etc. ( it guarantees a decent...
I am way to OCD to put up with cat scratch.... now if both sides were cat scratched with the same pattern???? Nope, couldn't do it. That would have to be replaced. I would drop $500.00 in a New York minute. The craftsmanship of the Ryder plus the Moose hyde...... I just could not live with...
I think having Stuart repair the jacket is your best bet. He has adjusted a couple of my LW jackets over the years and the craftsmen did a great job. All things considered I don't think the cost is that bad considering the time to remove the panel and replace it will be considerable.
I would...
