For over two years, I've been wearing, among others, my brown Indy-type hats in public, mainly to and during work (large retail outlet).
In that time I have received maybe two Indy comments.
Let's see, the day after 'the big game,' how many references are thrown my way.
Fabric glue would be best. I've used a dab of Elmers with no ill effect.
When removing a glued in liner I use a seam ripper to gently remove as little felt as possible while separating the liner from the felt.
I've actually done it four ways - stitches, glue, double-sided tape, and just tucking. With the first three, 4 spots usually suffices.
They all work. Sewing is the most time consuming. Glue is a bit more permanent than tape. Tucking needs occasional adjustment. FedIV liners are glued so I...

The thought of them getting pummeled in a washing machine doesn't appeal to me. O-C gets stuff really clean with no trauma.
And my liners never...

I very rarely receive an Indiana Jones comment anymore, but when I do, it's most often positive and from a person closer to my own age (I was 21 when RotLA was released).
<<sarcasm mode on>> I can't wait until the trailers get thicker, and on TV, and then the movie is released so that I can...
I own a few dozen hats - vintage, new, customs, and machine made - and my most comfortable hats are my Akubras. Therefore, they get the most wear. My oldest Feds are from 2009. The other two are not much newer.
I, too, am a LO. I just wore my Feds until they conformed to my head, which...
That certainly looks better than the fakeout trailer posted a few days ago, but . . .
. . . apparently the title will be 'Dial of Destiny.' Just about as goofy as, and perhaps more blase than 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.'
. . . many of the effects, even in that short trailer, are over...
