    Indiana Jones V

For over two years, I've been wearing, among others, my brown Indy-type hats in public, mainly to and during work (large retail outlet). In that time I have received maybe two Indy comments. Let's see, the day after 'the big game,' how many references are thrown my way.

It's beautiful, but I don't know how it'd look on me.

    I love the Fed IV!!

Fabric glue would be best. I've used a dab of Elmers with no ill effect. When removing a glued in liner I use a seam ripper to gently remove as little felt as possible while separating the liner from the felt.

I've actually done it four ways - stitches, glue, double-sided tape, and just tucking. With the first three, 4 spots usually suffices. They all work. Sewing is the most time consuming. Glue is a bit more permanent than tape. Tucking needs occasional adjustment. FedIV liners are glued so I...

Abner is dead in 1936, although I'm not sure how long he had been dead by then, as referenced in the Nepal bar scene.

    I love the Fed IV!!

In the interest of longevity, I put my liners into an Oxi-clean and warm water solution for a few minutes, then rinse, and then lay them out to dry. The thought of them getting pummeled in a washing machine doesn't appeal to me. O-C gets stuff really clean with no trauma. And my liners never...

It'll still get grubby. You just won't be able to see it (as well].

Yes to that. Actually, I'd prefer people keeping their hands to themselves. Didn't their mommas teach them not to touch other peoples' stuff?

Again, context. 1. Hats weren't worshipped items (yet), even as recently as 1969. If not still as popular as they were in the '30s and '40s, in the late '60s, many men still wore hats, more often those donning a suit, although mostly short-brimmed they were, two inches being the norm at that...

    Indiana Jones V

I very rarely receive an Indiana Jones comment anymore, but when I do, it's most often positive and from a person closer to my own age (I was 21 when RotLA was released). <<sarcasm mode on>> I can't wait until the trailers get thicker, and on TV, and then the movie is released so that I can...

Thank you. I actually feel better that I know that.

    I love the Fed IV!!

I own a few dozen hats - vintage, new, customs, and machine made - and my most comfortable hats are my Akubras. Therefore, they get the most wear. My oldest Feds are from 2009. The other two are not much newer. I, too, am a LO. I just wore my Feds until they conformed to my head, which...

That certainly looks better than the fakeout trailer posted a few days ago, but . . . . . . apparently the title will be 'Dial of Destiny.' Just about as goofy as, and perhaps more blase than 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.' . . . many of the effects, even in that short trailer, are over...
