I have one of them BIBs in my collection in each issued color.
The blue/grey one is in unworn condition - i found them more than 10 yrs ago when noone wanted 'em and it was easy to grab them on EBAY for a song.

The fit is almost perfect to me - one point i had with earlier PB jackets was the knittings where kind of "loose" in my opinion. Maybe i should give it a try and check for one of them 1942 Deck Jackets ...

Yeah that comment comes pretty late but don't wanna hold back how satisfied i am with my PB N1 jacket. As for me i have the impression it is one of a few with "european" dimension rather than the more "smaller" stuff you get from Asia - no matter if from Japan or China ...

It is indeed difficult to find wartime peacoats in a larger size - i manged to get one in 46 which is pretty snug on me (1.90 / 100 kg) even though it is a larger size but as long as there is no other option i will definately keep ...
