    Is it possible to widen the arms of a steerhide jacket?

    Just wondered this- bought a used Aero one (made by them, not one of their standard patterns) and it's great with a t-shirt or shirt, but restrictive in a sweater. Would wearing it in the rain over a sweater help to loosen it up a bit? Is there a hot water treatment type thing possible? Cheers.

    Zip Gack- what do I clean it with?

    It looks like verdigris and it's up and down the zipper track. Also on the inner leather facing of the zipper track. Does anyone know what I could clean it off with? I'm thinking cotton bud, warm water and... something that wouldn't damage the leather. J.

    Just got a used Aero jacket- what kind of steerhide?

    The hide is really dark brown and has a waxy hand. It's a muted colour (very almost black) and very heavy indeed! I'm wondering what the hide is- if I order another Aero down the line, I'd really consider getting one done in this. Jim.
